Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) is a public medical college and hospital located in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. It houses a medical school as well as a tertiary care hospital on its campus.

The Bangla Academy is an autonomous institution funded by the Bangladesh government that fosters the Bengali language, literature and culture, works to develop and implement national language policy and to do original research in the Bengali language. Syed Abdus Samad was a teacher of economics. He was a faculty member at the University of Dhaka, Boston State College, Boston University, the University of the South Pacific, and the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, South Korea. Samad worked as a national and international civil servant, economist, and human rights activist. In Bangladesh, he was the permanent secretary to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and a principal secretary to the Prime Minister. Samad was the executive chairman of the Bangladesh Board of Investment.
The Rampal Power Station is a 1320 megawatt coal-fired power station currently under construction at Rampal Upazila of Bagerhat District in Khulna, Bangladesh. The power plant is being constructed on an area of over 1834 acres of land, is situated 14 kilometres north of the world's largest mangrove forest Sundarbans which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It will be the country's largest power plant.
Chowdhury is a title of honour, usually hereditary, originating from the Indian subcontinent. It is an adaption from Sanskrit. During the Mughal rule, it was a title awarded to eminent people, while during British rule, the term was associated with zamindars and social leaders. The common female equivalent was Chowdhurani. Many landlords under the Permanent Settlement carried this surname. Land reforms after the partition of India abolished the permanent settlement. In modern times, the term is a common South Asian surname for both males and females.

He is the chairman of Azim Group, a leading industrial conglomerate and exporter in Bangladesh with business concerns in Garments, Steel, Engineering, Agro and various other sectors. He last served as an independent member of parliament of the Jatiya Sangsad. Azim was the only independent lawmaker in the parliament during the 9th Jatiya Sangsad. Abul Kalam Abdul Momen, known as AK Abdul Momen, is a Bangladeshi economist, diplomat, and politician who is the current Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh since January 2019. He served as Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations from August 2009 until October 2015. He was elected a member of Jatiya Sangsad from the Sylhet-1 constituency at the 2018 general elections. Following his election, he was appointed the minister of foreign affairs by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu was a Bangladeshi politician of the Jatiya Party and served as the Secretary General for two terms. He was a Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Chittagong-9 constituency at the 10th Jatiya Sangsad and the Chittagong-6 constituency at the 4th Jatiya Sangsad. He served as the Cabinet Minister for Energy during Ershad's regime in the 1980s. He was appointed an advisor to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in November 2013.
