History

The company was established in 2003 as Indigo Tajikistan, and in 2010 merged with the Somoncom brand to form the unified Tcell identity. [3] Tcell became fully owned by AKFED after acquiring TeliaSonera’s regional stake in 2017. [4]

Market position

According to the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Tcell serves approximately 3.1 million subscribers and holds a market share of around 36 % in Tajikistan’s telecommunications sector. [5]
