Team ZA Roller Derby represents South Africa in women's international roller derby, in events such as the Roller Derby World Cup.
The team was first formed to compete at the 2014 Roller Derby World Cup, at which it was known as Team South Africa Roller Derby. It played a warm-up mixed scrimmage against the Texas Rollergirls, [1] but lost all of its group stage matches and exited the competition. [2]
At the 2018 Roller Derby World Cup, on the first day, the team lost narrowly to Greece, and then by 283 to nil to England. [3] However, it then beat Romania and Costa Rica, recording its first ever wins in the tournament. [2] [4] It finished the tournament ranked 35 out of 38 teams. [5]

The Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) is the international governing body for the sport of women's flat track roller derby. It sets the international standards for rankings, rules, and competition in the sport, and provides guidance and resources to aid development of roller derby.
Junior roller derby is the sport of roller derby, modified for children and adolescents up to 18 years of age. The sport is played in both modified-contact, known as "positional blocking," and full-contact approaches, to facilitate safety across multiple age and skill groups.

Operated and managed by its skaters and members, ToRD has four house teams, one rookie travel team, and one WFTDA charter travel team. Since 2011, the league has operated out of a space in Downsview Park, but announced in January 2015 that they were in search of a new home. They have since moved to another space near Downsview Park.

Founded in April 2006, Forest City is one of the first flat-track roller derby leagues in Canada, and is a not for profit organization owned and operated by the skaters. Royal Windsor Roller Derby (RWRD) is a flat track roller derby league based in Berkshire, England. Founded in 2007 as Royal Windsor Roller Girls, RWRD was Berkshire's first roller derby league, and one of the first in the UK. The league trains in Ascot and plays its home games at Windsor Leisure Centre.
USA Roller Derby represents the United States in international roller derby, in events such as the Roller Derby World Cup. The team's first international competition was the 2011 Roller Derby World Cup, where it finished in first place after defeating Team Canada in the final. During the time period referenced here, it was known as "Team USA". A trademark challenge from the United States Olympic Committee led to the change to the name "USA Roller Derby" after the team's last international appearance.

SoCal Derby is a women's flat track roller derby league in San Diego, California. The league has two teams which play teams from other leagues, and is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).
The Men's Roller Derby World Cup is an international tournament in the sport of men's roller derby. The first World Cup was held between 14–16 March 2014 in Birmingham, England. The event has since been held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in July 2016, and Barcelona, Spain on April 5–8, 2018 The next tournament is to be hosted in St. Louis, Missouri, USA on 9–12 July 2020.
The 2018 Roller Derby World Cup was the third international women's Roller Derby World Cup, taking place on February 1–4 at EventCity, in Manchester, United Kingdom, with 38 teams competing. An international roller derby tournament, it was organised by a committee consisting of ten representatives from various areas of the roller derby community.
