Ted de Boer

Theodorus Martinus "Ted" de Boer (born 11 May 1943, Uithoorn) [1] [2] is an emeritus professor of private international law and comparative law at the University of Amsterdam.

Biography

De Boer studied law at Utrecht University and obtained a Master of Laws degree there in 1969. Two years later he earned a further Master of Laws degree at New York University. De Boer obtained his Doctor of Juridical Science at the University of Amsterdam in 1987. [1] He started as professor in 1987 and he retired in October 2003. He then continued as unpaid professor until 2010. [3] [2]

De Boer was elected a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1992. [4]

Catharina Christina Johanna Hermina "Catrien" Bijleveld is a Dutch criminologist. She is a professor of Research Methods in Criminology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Since August 2014 she is director of the Netherlands Institute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement.

Marten Cornelis Boudewijn Burkens was a Dutch emeritus law professor and politician. He was professor of state and administrative law at the Erasmus University Rotterdam (1971–1975) and Utrecht University (1975–1995). Burkens served in the Senate for the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy between 1983 and 1987.

Richard Hubertus Lauwaars is a Dutch jurist. He was a professor of law of European organizations at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from 1972 and 1979. He subsequently was professor of law of international organizations at the University of Amsterdam from 1980 to 1994. Lauwaars then was member of the Council of State between 1994 and 2008, serving the last three years in extraordinary service.
