He was born in Eluru in West Godavari district on 2 February 1944. He learnt cartooning through a correspondence course offered by the Ray Burns School of Cartooning. [1] After completing his college degree, he joined the Telugu daily Visalaandhra in 1961 as a cartoonist.
His cartoons also appeared in newspapers like Andhra Prabha and Vaartha, and magazines like Andhra Jyothi and Chalana Chitra. In 1991, his cartoons also appeared in the Russian humour magazine Krokodil. [2] He contributed articles on cartooning to Andhra Jyothi, Wisdom and the Sunday editions of various newspapers, besides writing instructional books on the subject and conducting courses in cartooning.
TeeVee received a Lifetime Achievement award from the Indian Institute of Cartoonists in 2009. [3]

Andhra Jyothi is the third largest circulated Telugu language daily newspaper of India sold mostly in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It was founded by K. L. N. Prasad, an Industrialist on 1 July 1960. It is also one of the oldest running Telugu language daily newspapers. It was taken over by Vemuri Radha Krishna, also known as R. Upādhyāyula Sūryanārāyaṇa Rāo (1923–1971) was a Telugu playwright and journalist who lived and worked in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh. He was the grandson of the panditAdibhatla Narayana Dasu. He was actively associated with the Telugu stage and was one of the founding members of the Sri Vijayarama Nataka Kala Parishat, which regularly conducted drama competitions. Andhra Patrika was a Telugu-language newspaper founded by Kasinathuni Nageswara Rao on 9 September 1908. It was initially a weekly publication and later transformed into a daily newspaper. It played an influential role in India’s nationalist movement. The newspaper had a lasting impact on the development of modern Telugu language and was instrumental in shaping the cultural and political identity that contributed to the creation of Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Patrika continued publication until it closed in 1991.

Yadlapati Venkata Rao was an Indian politician from the state of Andhra Pradesh. Rao served as the Minister for Agriculture, Law and Planning in the united Andhra Pradesh from 1978 to 1980. He was elected thrice to the Vemuru Assembly constituency of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), and served as the Member of Parliament (MP) in Rajya Sabha representing Andhra Pradesh between 1998 and 2004.
