Vijay Anand, also known as Goldie Anand, was an Indian filmmaker, producer, screenwriter, editor and actor, who is known for acclaimed films such as Guide (1965), Teesri Manzil (1966), Jewel Thief (1967) and Johny Mera Naam (1970). He made most of his films for the in-house banner Navketan Films and was part of the Anand family.
Don is a 1978 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Chandra Barot from a story written by Salim–Javed and produced by Nariman Irani. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan in dual role, alongside Zeenat Aman, Pran, Iftekhar, Om Shivpuri and Satyen Kappu in supporting roles. The film was released on 15 August 2003 to critical acclaim and success at the box office. Set in modern-day Mumbai, the film focuses on the life of a waiter working in a dance bar. The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi.
Mumbai Matinee is a 2003 Indian romantic comedy film directed and written by Anant Balani and starring Rahul Bose as a 32-year-old virgin. The film premiered on 26 September 2003 and was also released in the UK. Director Anant Balani died before the film was released on 29 August 2003.

Anand Prasad under the Bhavya Creations banner and directed by cinematographer Siva, who made his directorial debut. It stars Gopichand, Anushka Shetty, Poonam Kaur and Manoj K. Jayan along with Ajay, Ali, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, Sudha, Tanikella Bharani and M. S. Narayana in the pivotal roles, the music was composed by Mani Sharma. The film was released theatrically on 25 September 2008.

The storyline is inspired by the 1999 hit-and-run case of Sanjeev Nanda and a minor reference to the Priyadarshini Mattoo case.
