Alyy Khan (or Aly Khan, Urdu : علی خان; born 6 December 1968) is a British-Pakistani [2] [3] actor and host who has worked in Hollywood, Bollywood and Lollywood films and television series. [4] [5] [6]


He is known for his roles in the films A Mighty Heart (2007), Traitor (2008), Don 2 (2011), 3 Bahadur (2015), Actor in Law (2016) and Mogul Mowgli (2020), and also played a parallel lead in the telefilm Anjuman (2013).

Khan has also appeared in several television series, including The Bill (2006), Strike Back (2011), Saat Pardon Mein (2012), Indian Summers (2015) and Pakeezah (2016).

In 2012, Khan hosted the television reality show Foodistan for NDTV and Geo TV.

Recent credits include The Serpent (2020) on Netflix, Shantaram (2022) Paramount/Apple + TV and The Archie's (2022) Netflix India.

Early Life

Born in Karachi, Pakistan, when he was nine his family moved to London, UK. [2]

He has a diploma in film and television production from the Pimlico Arts and Media College. [7]

He is the cousin of the late pop singer-turned-Islamic preacher Junaid Jamshed. [8]

Actor in Law is a 2016 Pakistani socio-comedy film directed by Nabeel Qureshi, co-written and produced by Fizza Ali Meerza along with Mehdi Ali. The film was released on Eid-ul-Adha 2016. by Urdu 1 Pictures. The film stars Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat in lead roles. It also stars veteran Indian actor Om Puri in his first Pakistani film, who died on 6 January 2017 suffering Cardiac arrest. On 19 April 2017, it received the Best Film award at the 16th Lux Style Awards.

Momina Duraid is a Pakistani director and producer. She is a senior producer and creative head of television network Hum TV and CEO of her own production company MD Productions. She has produced and created several series including Dastaan (2010), Qaid-e-Tanhai (2010–11), Humsafar (2011–12), Shehr-e-Zaat (2012), Zindagi Gulzar Hai (2012–13), Diyar-e-Dil (2015), Sadqay Tumhare (2015), Mann Mayal (2016), Udaari (2016), Bin Roye (2016), Yaqeen Ka Safar (2017), Suno Chanda (2018) and Ehd-e-Wafa (2019).
