Tejaa Devkar (also spelled Deokar) is an Indian actress who has acted in Marathi language television series and films. [1] [2]

Early life

Tejaa was born to Suresh and Neeta Deokar in Mumbai, and she has done her doctorate in English Literature. Suresh is a businessman in Mumbai, and Neeta has produced a couple of Marathi films. [3]

Acting career

Tejaa has worked in many Marathi movies and is associated with many serials aired on different channels. She has won many awards in various categories. [4]

She began her career in 2005 with the Marathi movie Hirwa Kunku, a family drama that did well at the box office, especially in the remote places in Maharashtra. She has acted in many other Marathi movies including Oxygen, Dharpakad, Khandaobacha Lagin, Raadhika, Shambhu Majha Navsacha, Natee and Adla Badli. In Dharpakad she played a kabbadi sportsman, in Khandobacha Lagin she played an adivasi girl, in Shambhu Majha Navsacha she played a negative role, whereas in Adla Badla she played a comic role. In Neeta Devkar's Oxygen, she played a housewife. [5]

The Jalgaon housing scam, sometimes called the Jalgaon Gharkul scam, was the illicit diverting of approximately 110 crore (US$14 million) in loaned public municipal funds by the Jalgaon Municipal Corporation, in the city of Jalgaon in Maharashtra, India, approximately between 1997 and 2006. Majha Chakula is a 1994 Indian Marathi-language drama film directed by Mahesh Kothare. It stars Adinath Kothare in his debut as Adi, Nivedita Joshi, Laxmikant Berde, Mahesh Kothare and Bipin Varti. The film was remade in Hindi as Masoom by same director.

Sharmishtha Raut is an Indian actress who works predominantly in Marathi films and TV serials. She is best known for her antagonistic role as Neeraja in the serial Man Udhan Varyache, which aired on Star Pravah, and the Zee Marathi serials Unch Majha Zoka as Tai Kaku and Julun Yeti Reshimgathi as Archana.
