Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, who is known professionally as Wizkid, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. Born in the Ojuelegba suburb of Surulere, Lagos, Wizkid is a voice in the emerging Afrobeats movement. His music is a blend of Afrobeats, afropop, R&B, afrobeat, reggae, dancehall, and pop. He began recording music at the age of 11 and released a collaborative album with the Glorious Five, a group he and a couple of his church friends formed. In 2009, Wizkid signed a record deal with Banky W's Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E). He rose to the limelight after releasing "Holla at Your Boy", the lead single from his debut studio album, Superstar (2011), which also spawned the singles "Tease Me/Bad Guys" and "Don't Dull".

Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, better known by his stage name Mr Eazi, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record executive. He is the pioneer of Banku music, a fusion of sound he describes as a mixture of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and patterns. Mr Eazi relocated to Kumasi in 2008 and enrolled at KNUST, where he began booking artists to perform at college parties. He showed interest in music after recording a guest verse on "My Life", a song that gained traction and became a popular record at KNUST. Mr Eazi released his debut mixtape About to Blow in 2013. Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, known professionally as Mayorkun, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, pianist and dancer. He released a cover of Davido's "The Money" single and was discovered by the singer on Twitter. Mayorkun was signed to Davido's record label DMW from 2016 to 2021; his debut single "Eleko" was released under the label. Mayorkun released his debut studio album The Mayor of Lagos in November 2018. After his exit from DMW in 2021; he released "Let Me Know" and his second studio album Back In Office in October 2021, under Sony Music West Africa division.

Afrobeats, not to be confused with Afrobeat or Afroswing, is an umbrella term to describe popular music from West Africa and the diaspora that initially developed in Nigeria, Ghana, and the UK in the 2000s and 2010s. Afrobeats is less of a style per se, and more of a descriptor for the fusion of sounds flowing majorly out of Nigeria. Genres such as hiplife, jùjú music, highlife and naija beats, among others, were amalgamated under the "Afrobeats" umbrella.

Adedamola Oyinlola Adefolahan, who is known professionally as Fireboy DML, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He is signed to YBNL Nation, a record label founded by rapper Olamide. His debut studio album, Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps, was released in 2019. He won Listener's Choice and was nominated for Song of the Year for "Jealous" at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival.

"Pana" is a song recorded by Nigerian singer-songwriter Tekno, which was released in July 22, 2016, by Made Men Music Group, it was written by Tekno and produced by Krizbeatz. The song received mostly positive reviews from music critics and tops the MTV Base's hottest track of 2016 at number 2, it also debuted at the top 10 Soundcity TV count down.

Chibuike Benjamin Nnonah, born in Enugu State, better known as Benjamz, is a Nigerian record producer who has worked with artists including Phyno, Burna Boy, Dremo, Tekno, Illbliss and Yung6ix. He was born and raised in Enugu. Benjamz produced six tracks from Phyno's The Playmaker album. He is most notable for co-producing African Giant by Burna Boy with Kel-P, which was nominated for a Grammy Award. He also produced "Gum Body" featuring Jorja Smith from the same album and "Stfu" from Codename Vol. 2 by Dremo.

<i>Old Romance</i> 2020 studio album by Tekno

Old Romance is the debut studio album by Nigerian singer-songwriter Tekno. It was released on 10 December 2020, by Island Records and Cartel Entertainment. The album combines elements of R&B and Afropop with neo-soul percussive rhythms. Old Romance received mixed reviews from music critics. as Motolani Alake for Pulse Nigeria's Motolani Alake commended Tekno for having "an uncanny understanding of music and sounds"

Mufasa is a song recorded by Nigerian singer-songwriter Tekno, it was released in February 23, 2022, by PWRS and Cartel Entertainment. It was written by Tekno and produced by Yung Willis.

"Skeletun" is a song recorded by Nigerian singer-songwriter Tekno, it was released on October 8, 2019, by the Cartel Entertainment. It was written by Tekno and produced by Phantom. The song was featured on the soundtrack to Coming 2 America. It debuted at number 19 on the first ever official UK Afrobeats Singles Chart and was nominated for Best Pop Single at The Headies 2020.

<i>Sad Romance</i> 2022 studio album by CKay

Sad Romance is the debut studio album by Nigerian singer CKay. It was released by Warner Music Africa on 23 September 2022. The album features guest appearances from Ayra Starr, Davido, Focalistic, Abidoza, Mayra Andrade, and Ronisia, and was executive produced by CKay. Following the release of the album CKay embarked on the Sad Romance North America Tour (2022).
