Telephone Pioneers of America Park, also known as Telephone Pioneers Park or Telephone Park, is an adaptive recreation park serving the needs of physically disabled persons in Phoenix, Arizona. The park opened in 1988 from private donations collected by the Telephone Pioneers of America and is the first barrier-free park in the United States. Managed by the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department, the park features two beep baseball fields, a therapeutic pool, a wheelchair-accessible playground, an 18-station exercise course, racquetball, volleyball, tennis, basketball and shuffleboard. Picnic facilities with open shelters known as ramadas are available. [1]

Encanto Park Public park in Phoenix, Arizona

Encanto Park is a public park in central Phoenix, Arizona. The park is composed of 222 acres (0.90 km2) of land consisting of picnic areas, a lagoon, a boat house, swimming pool, nature trail, amusement park, fishing and two golf courses. The lagoon is approximately 7.5 acres (0.030 km2) in surface area and about 6 feet (1.8 m) deep, on average. The park is bounded by Thomas Road on the north, Encanto Boulevard on the south, 15th Avenue on the west and 7th Avenue on the east and is at a surface elevation of 1,100 ft (340 m).

Cedar Creek State Park

Cedar Creek State Park is sited on 2,588 acres (1,047 ha) along Cedar Creek in Gilmer County, West Virginia, located about 4 miles (6.4 km) south of Glenville. Two of the buildings at the park are historical restorations of West Virginia's pioneer days, including a log cabin now used as the campground check-in station, and the Pine Run One Room School, an old one-room schoolhouse complete with restored school desks and potbellied stove. The schoolhouse is open for tours on Saturdays in the summer.

Chief Logan State Park

Chief Logan State Park is located on 3,988 acres (1,614 ha) about 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Logan in Logan County, West Virginia, United States. The park, the town and the county were all named after Chief Logan, a Mingo Native American leader who lived in the region before the American Revolutionary War. Move United was formed in 2020 as a merger of two organizations; Disabled Sports USA, which was first founded in 1956 and based in Rockville, Maryland, and Adaptive Sports USA, a second organization founded in 1967. Move United is a member of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee. As of 2020, the organization operates programs serving 100,000 residents in 43 states. In 2020, the two organizations merged as Move United, introducing a new identity by Superunion. A goal was announced for the organization to serve 90% of the U.S. population with local programs by 2028, in time for the 2028 Summer Paralympics in Los Angeles.

Pioneer and Military Memorial Park United States historic place

The Pioneer and Military Memorial Park is the official name given to seven historic cemeteries in Phoenix, Arizona. The cemeteries were founded in 1884 in what was known as "Block 32". On February 1, 2007, "Block 32" was renamed Pioneer and Military Memorial Park. The Pioneer and Military Memorial Park is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The historic Smurthwaite House, which is also listed in the National Register of Historic Places, is located on the grounds of the Pioneer and Military Memorial Park and is used as the cemetery's main office. Pioneer and Military Memorial Park is the final resting place of various notable pioneers of Arizona.

Keegan Field is an amateur sports field located in Yuma, Arizona. The 4‐acre athletic facility contains a softball field with lights for night games and is part of the larger 32-acre Kennedy Park Athletic Complex. It was named in honor of Frances Keegan, a local supporter of amateur athletics.
