The mixed doubles tennis event at the 2017 Summer Universiade was held from August 24 to 29 at the Taipei Tennis Center in Taipei, Taiwan.
Erina Hayashi and Kaito Uesugi won the gold medal, defeating Simona Parajová and Ivan Košec in the final, 7–5, 6–4.
Chan Yung-jan and Hsieh Cheng-peng, and Jada Hart and Logan Staggs won the bronze medals.
All seeds receive a bye into the second round.

Latisha Chan, formerly known by her Chinese name Chan Yung-jan, is a Taiwanese inactive tennis player who is a former world No. 1 in doubles.She has won 33 WTA Titles in doubles, including a Grand Slam title at the 2017 US Open alongside Martina Hingis, as well as 9 at WTA 1000 level. Chan also finished runner-up at three other Grand Slam events: the Australian Open in 2007 and 2015, and the 2007 US Open. In mixed doubles, she has won three Grand Slam titles: the 2018 French Open, 2019 French Open, and 2019 Wimbledon Championships, all with Ivan Dodig.Highlights of her singles career include reaching the semifinals at the 2006 Japan Open and the final at the Bangkok Open in 2007. She reached her career-high singles ranking of No. 50 on 11 June 2007, and became world no. 1 in doubles on 23 October 2017, the second Taiwanese player to do so, after Hsieh Su-wei. She again topped the doubles rankings on 13 August 2018, and has spent a total of 34 weeks as world No. 1.

Vania King and Yaroslava Shvedova defeated Liezel Huber and Nadia Petrova 2–6, 6–4, 7–6(7–4) in the final. This match was played over two days due to heavy rainfall on September 12.

Janković played alongside Klára Koukalová, but lost in the second round to Michaëlla Krajicek and Barbora Záhlavová-Strýcová. Srebotnik teamed up with Květa Peschke, but lost in the second round to Chan Hao-ching and Chan Yung-jan.
Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci won the title, defeating Cara Black and Sania Mirza in the final, 7–6(7–4), 6–3.
Andrea Hlaváčková and Lucie Hradecká were the defending champions, but chose not to participate together. Hlaváčková played alongside Zheng Jie, but lost in the quarterfinals to Kimiko Date-Krumm and Barbora Záhlavová-Strýcová. Hradecká teamed up with Michaëlla Krajicek, but lost in the third round to Zarina Diyas and Xu Yifan.

The 2014 OEC Taipei WTA Challenger-Doubles was a professional tennis tournament played on indoor carpet courts. It was the seventh edition of OEC's Taipei Open tournaments, and the third under the 125k series classification. It was part of the 2014 WTA 125K series. It took place in Taipei, Taiwan, on 3–9 November 2014. Caroline Garcia and Yaroslava Shvedova were the defending champions, however, Shvedova chose not to participate and Garcia chose to compete in Limoges instead.
