Terje Andersen (born 4 March 1952) is a former speed skater and president of the Norwegian Skating Association. Andersen was a typical middle distance skater, his best achievement being one bronze medal from the 1980 Winter Olympics of Lake Placid.
Andersen participated several times in the World Sprint Championships, finishing fourth in 1981, and sixth in 1978. His best placing in an allround championships is a twelfth place at the World Championships of Oslo in 1975.
He represented Tønsberg TF and Holmestrand og Botne SK. He was president of the Norwegian Skating Association from 1997 to 1999, [1] and again in 2003 to 2007.

Hjalmar "Hjallis" Johan Andersen was a speed skater from Norway who won three gold medals at the 1952 Winter Olympic Games of Oslo, Norway. He was the only triple gold medalist at the 1952 Winter Olympics, and as such, became the most successful athlete there.
Ivar Eugen Ballangrud was a Norwegian speed skater, a four-time Olympic champion in speed skating. As the only triple gold medalist at the 1936 Winter Olympics, Ballangrud was the most successful athlete there.
Rolf Falk-Larssen is a former speed skater. Representing Trondhjems Skøiteklub, Rolf Falk-Larssen made his international debut at the European Allround Championships of 1982 and he was in the lead after three distances. On the final distance, he was paired against Tomas Gustafson, the number two after three distances. With just one lap left to go in that 10,000 m, it seemed that Falk-Larssen would be crowned as the new European Champion, but Gustafson skated an extraordinary last lap, setting a new world record of 14:23.59, and beating Falk-Larssen by 0.021 points. So Falk-Larssen won silver, and he would win a second European Allround silver medal in 1984. Three weeks later, at the 1982 World Allround Championships, Falk-Larssen won bronze.

Oscar Wilhelm Mathisen was a Norwegian speed skater and celebrity, almost rivalling Roald Amundsen and Fridtjof Nansen as symbols for a young nation. He represented Kristiania Skøiteklub.

Nils Egil Aaness is a former speed skater from Norway. Aaness competed on the Norwegian national team from 1959 to 1965, and thus became part of the Norwegian speedskating revolution under the trainer Stein Johnson. His best season was 1962/1963, when he won silver at the Norwegian Allround Championships, skated a world record on the big combination one week later, became European Allround Champion in Gothenburg early February, and won bronze at the World Allround Speed Skating Championships of Karuizawa three weeks after that.
Roald Edgar Aas was a speed skater and cyclist from Norway. He was born in Oslo. Aas was the number two speed skater in Norway through the entire 1950s—initially after Hjalmar Andersen, later after Knut Johannesen. He became Norwegian champion once, in 1956, but finished second seven times.

Sverre Ingolf Haugli was a Norwegian speed skater. He finished third at the European Championships in 1950 and fourth in the World Championships in 1951. He won a bronze medal at the 1952 Oslo Olympics, and placed sixth over 10,000 m in 1952 and fourth in 1956.
Lauri ("Lassi") Rikhard Parkkinen was a Finnish speed skater. Lassi Parkkinen was born in Varkaus, an industrial town in the southeast of Finland. He made his debut at the World Allround Championships in 1938, finishing ninth. He also participated the next year, 1939, in what would turn out to be the last World Championships before World War II, but his results on the first three distances were not good enough to qualify for the final distance. Due to the war, it took eight years before the World Championships were held again. At these first World Championships since World War II, Parkkinen was crowned the 1947 World Champion. His success continued the next year at the 1948 Winter Olympics of St. Moritz, when he won Olympic silver on the 10,000 m.
Roald Morel Larsen was a World Champion speed skater from Norway. He was born in Kristiania . Roald Larsen's parents were Hans Jacob Larsen, a glazier born in Kristiania in 1870, and Lydia Larsen, born in Porsgrunn in 1865. They had four children, all sons: Jaan Harald (1891), Lyder Ragnar (1895), Roald Morel (1898), and Gelgjermo Stone (1899).
Kornél Pajor was a Hungarian speed skating World Champion. He was born in Budapest.
Rudolf Gundersen was a Norwegian speed skater. He represented Kristiania Skøiteklub and was among the world's best skaters around the start of the 20th century. Gundersen made his Norwegian National Allround Championships debut in 1899 and promptly finished second, an achievement he would repeat the next year. In 1901, Gundersen became both Norwegian and European Allround Champion. In 1904, Gundersen won his second European Allround title and in 1906, he became European Allround Champion for the third and last time, while setting a new world record on the 500 m during those championships. His dominance at the European Allround Championships is illustrated by the fact that at the four European Allround Championships Gundersen participated in, he finished either first or second on every distance, finishing in first place ten times and in second place six times.
