State Highway 261 (SH 261) is a Texas state highway running from SH 29 north along the western side of Lake Buchanan to the old location of SH 29 at Bluffton. This route was designated on March 21, 1938. [2] On August 30, 1957, SH 261 was extended west 1 mile over part of RM 2241, which was rerouted north over RM 2337 so that there was one continuous RM road, rather than two, between Llano and Tow.

U.S. Route 290 is an east–west U.S. Highway located entirely within the state of Texas. Its western terminus is at Interstate 10 southeast of Segovia, and its eastern terminus is at Interstate 610 in northwest Houston. It is the main highway between Houston and Austin and is a cutoff for travelers wanting to bypass San Antonio on Interstate 10. Throughout its length west of Austin, US 290 cuts across mountainous hills comprising the Texas Hill Country and the Edwards Plateau; between Austin and Houston, the highway then travels through gradually hilly grasslands and pine forests comprising the Gulf Coastal Plains.
State Highway 23 is a state highway in Lipscomb County, Texas, United States, in the Texas Panhandle, that connects U.S. Route 83 (US 83) with Oklahoma State Highway 23 (OK SH 23) at the Oklahoma state line. The highway's route designation is numerically continuous with subsequent routes in Oklahoma and Kansas and, together with OK SH 23 and Kansas Highway 23, forms part of a single route from US 83 in Texas to US 83 near Selden, Kansas.

Ranch to Market Road 243 is a Ranch to Market Road in the U.S. state of Texas maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The road, first designated in 1945, is located in Burnet and Williamson counties in the Texas Hill Country and passes through the city of Bertram and the smaller communities of Oatmeal and Mahomet. The nearly 21-mile (34 km) road has major intersections with RM 1174 and US 183 at its termini and has short concurrencies with SH 29 and again with RM 1174 in Bertram. RM 243 passes through a portion of a national wildlife refuge and crosses two forks of the San Gabriel River.
