Thambal Leikhok is a 2024 Manipuri film directed by Khoibam Homeshwori.[1][2] The film is produced by Naorem Jamuna Devi under the banner of Home Films Manipur.[3]Gokul Athokpam, Abenao Elangbam, Ithoi Oinam and Idhou star as the leads.[4] The film was released at Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS) on 26 October 2024. The movie was premiered at the 2nd North East India Film Festival, Manipur 2025 under the non-competition section (NEIFF Spectrum).[5][6][7]
The film is streamed online at Epom Media app from 7 February 2025.
Plot
Thambalsana marries Sakhenba, a bachelor who is around twenty years elder than her. Her life is never the same when she crosses path with Wanglen at the All India Radio, Imphal. The implications on Wanglen's wife Sangbanabi and her family in general, and where this leads Thambalsana, form the core of the film.
