The event originally only aired as a special episode of the promotion's flagship weekly television program, Wednesday Night Dynamite, but the 2023 event expanded the show to a three-part special, also encompassing Friday Night Rampage and Saturday Night Collision.

It featured the long awaited match between Will Ospreay and Ricochet who last wrestled each other in 2016. It also featured a rematch from Forbidden Door between Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada where both the AEW World Championship and the AEW Continental Championship was on the line but the Continental Championship was only on the line for the first 20 minutes.
