The University of Botswana,popularly known as UB,was established in 1982 as the first institution of higher education in Botswana. The university has three campuses:one in the capital city Gaborone,one in Francistown,and another in Maun. The university is divided into six faculties:Business,Education,Engineering,Humanities,Science and Social Sciences and the Sir Ketumile Masire Teaching Hospital.

Margaret Nnananyana Nasha is a Botswana politician who served as the Speaker of the National Assembly from 2009 to 2014. She was the first woman to hold the position.
Henry K. Rotich is a Kenyan civil servant who was nominated by President Uhuru Kenyatta as Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury on 23 April 2013. On 14 January 2020,Rotich,who had been arrested on charges of corruption,was removed from this position.

On 9 June 2020,he announced his resignation from the Ministry of Finance,effective 15 June.
Wopke Bastiaan Hoekstra is a Dutch politician who has served as second Deputy Prime Minister of the Netherlands and Minister of Foreign Affairs in the fourth Rutte cabinet since 10 January 2022. He has also been Leader of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) since 2020. Hoekstra previously served as Minister of Finance in the third Rutte cabinet from 2017 to 2022.
Slumber Tsogwane is the current Vice President of Botswana. He took office on 4 April 2018,succeeding Mokgweetsi Masisi. He is a member of the Botswana Democratic Party.

Anna Maria Mokgethi is a Motswana politician serving as the Minister of Nationality,Immigration and Gender Affairs since November 2019. She is the Member of Parliament for Gaborone Bonnington North. Mokgethi is a member of the Botswana Democratic Party.
Peggy Onkutlwile Serame is a Motswana politician who has been serving as Minister of Finance in the government of President Mokgweetsi Masisi since April 2021.
Daniele Franco is an Italian economist,central banker and civil servant who has been serving as Minister of Economy and Finance in the cabinet of Prime Minister Mario Draghi since 13 February 2021. From 2020 until 2021,he served as director-general of the Bank of Italy.
