Francisco Javier Bautista Jr. better known by his stage name Frankie J, is a Mexican-American singer and former member of the musical group Kumbia Kings.
Hakeem Temidayo Seriki, better known by his stage name Chamillionaire, is an American rapper. He began his career with locally-tailored releases in the early 2000s, and signed with Houston's Paid in Full Entertainment to release the collaborative album Get Ya Mind Correct (2002) with labelmate and hometown native Paul Wall. He signed with Universal Records in 2005 and released his debut studio album, The Sound of Revenge in November of that year to commercial success. It was supported by the singles "Ridin'" —which peaked atop the Billboard Hot 100 and won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group—and "Turn It Up". His second album, Ultimate Victory (2007) was met with continued success; it became notable for its lack of profanity and lead single "Hip Hop Police" —as well as its accompanying music video. His pop rap 2009 single, "Good Morning" peaked within the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 was intended to lead his third album Venom, which was ultimately never released.

The album features guest appearances from Lil' Flip, T.I., Lil Wayne, Rasaq, Natalie Alvarado, Lil Scrappy, Krayzie Bone, Bun B, Scarface, Billy Cook, Killer Mike, and Pastor Troy, with its production on the album was handled by Scott Storch, Mannie Fresh, Play-N-Skillz, Cool, and Dre, among others.
"Turn It Up" is the 2005 debut single of Chamillionaire, featuring Lil' Flip. It was produced by Scott Storch. "Turn It Up" was the first single from Chamillionaire's major label debut album, The Sound of Revenge. The music video is filmed in Houston, and features cameo appearances by Crooked I, Mannie Fresh and Chamillionaire's brother Rasaq. Lil' Flip is noticed wearing a "Free Cassidy" shirt in the video, showing his support for Cassidy while he was in jail for attempted murder. This hip hop song peaked at number 41 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Strength & Loyalty, originally titled The Bone Thugs Story, is the seventh studio album by American hip hop group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, released on May 8, 2007. It was Bone Thugs-n-Harmony's first major album after an absence of nearly five years. The album contains guest appearances by Akon, Autumn Rowe, Bow Wow, Felecia, Fleetwood Mac (sampled), Mariah Carey, Swizz Beatz, The Game, Twista, will.i.am, and Yolanda Adams. Then imprisoned member Flesh-n-Bone was only featured on a track entitled "Into The Future" which did not make the album and also due to his incarceration did not make the album cover.

Produced by hip hop producers Play-N-Skillz, the song's lyrics discuss racial profiling and police brutality, in addition to the stereotyping of African Americans driving a vehicle with drugs and other contraband on the inside.

The song was released on January 2, 2007 as a digital download single on iTunes but was leaked in December 2006. For unknown reasons, the single was removed from the iTunes Store in early 2009.
