Mixtape Messiah 7 is a mixtape by southern rapper Chamillionaire. It is also the final mixtape in the Mixtape Messiah series. Disc 1 was mixed by Michael "5000" Watts and disc 2 was mixed by Rapic Ric. Chamillionaire later released a chopped and screwed version of various tracks from the album (disc 3), and also a regular speed version of the chopped and screwed CD (disc 4). [1]
On his official website, Mixtape Messiah 7 disc one was released on August 4, 2009. [2] The second and third discs were released on August 6, and the final disc on August 7.
100 physical copies of the mixtape were given away to fans, these included Chamillionaire's signature, a 12-page booklet of artwork, and a $100 bill. Chamillionaire auctioned two of these copies on eBay, with all proceeds going to No More Victims, a Houston organization that gives aid to children of incarcerated parents. [3]

Swishahouse is an independent southern rap record label and hip hop collective based in Houston, Texas.
Paul Michael Slayton, better known by his stage name Paul Wall, is an American rapper and DJ. He has spent much of his career affiliated with Swishahouse Records, and has released several albums under the label and collaborated with numerous other rappers signed to the label. He began his career performing alongside fellow Houstonian Chamillionaire, with whom he released several albums, including 2002's independently released Get Ya Mind Correct. In 2005, he was signed to Atlantic Records and became successful with his major label debut The Peoples Champ, which was followed up by Get Money, Stay True followed in 2007. He has been nominated for one Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance as a Duo or Group for the song "Grillz", his collaboration with rapper Nelly.
Hakeem Temidayo Seriki, better known by his stage name Chamillionaire, is an American rapper. He was the founder and an original member of The Color Changin' Click from 2001 until the group split in 2005. He began his solo career with local releases in 2002, including the collaborative album Get Ya Mind Correct with fellow Houston rapper and childhood friend Paul Wall. He signed to Universal Records in 2005 and released The Sound of Revenge under Universal. It included hit singles "Turn It Up" featuring Lil' Flip and the number-one, Grammy-winning hit "Ridin'" featuring Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. Ultimate Victory followed in 2007, which was notable for not containing any profanity. Chamillionaire is also known for his most anticipated Mixtape Messiah series, which ran from 2004 until 2009.
The Sound of Revenge is the debut studio album by American rapper Chamillionaire. It was released on November 22, 2005. The album features guest appearances from Lil' Flip, Lil Wayne, Rasaq, Natalie Alvarado, Krayzie Bone, Bun B, Scarface, Billy Cook, Killer Mike and Pastor Troy, with its production handled by Scott Storch, Mannie Fresh, Play-N-Skillz, Cool, and Dre, among others.

The tape featuring 61 tracks over three CDs, this triple album is the longest and most bought mixtape in Texas history. It is the first mixtape in the Mixtape Messiah series. The mixtape established Chamillionaire as one of the premier artists in the Southern rap music industry at the time of its release and was the pivotal mixtape that developed his fan base and ability to obtain mainstream success with the release of The Sound of Revenge years later.
Mr. Pookie is an American rapper from the "Dirty South" of Dallas, Texas. He is most notable for having the biggest-selling independent rap album from Dallas thus far, 1999’s Tha Rippla. Mr. Pookie records both individually and with his rap partner Jeron Gibson, or Mr. Lucci, with whom he also co-owns their labels, Crawl 2 Ball Records, which is now Stoney Crook Recordz and the music publishing company/production house Stoney Crook Music. The Color Changin' Click was an American hip hop group formed in 2001 by Chamillionaire and Paul Wall. The group disbanded in 2005. Chamillionaire and Paul were part of a group prior to Color Changing Click called The Sleepwalkers. It's unclear if there were 3 or 4 members of the group, but PKT was definitely part of the group. Not much more is known about the group other than they used to open up for Swishahouse members prior to being in Swishahouse themselves.
Chamillitary is an entertainment company and hip hop record label owned and run by rapper Chamillionaire. It was previously distributed by Universal. It has since been an independent record label company.
"Get Up" is a song by American recording artist Ciara. Released on July 25, 2006, the song serves as the first single from the original soundtrack to the film Step Up (2006), as well as the lead single for her second album, Ciara: The Evolution. It features American rapper Chamillionaire. The song was written by the singer and rapper with her mentor Jazze Pha, who produced the song. The song is a hip-hop number, accompanied by dance music sounds, while integrating a crunk beat. The song received generally positive reviews from music critics, who compared it to her previous work, namely "1, 2 Step."

The song samples the drum break from "Ashley's Roachclip" by the Soul Searchers, as well as interpolating Rakim's verse in "Paid in Full" by hip hop duo Eric B. & Rakim.

Ronald Rummell Coleman, better known for his stage name OG Ron C, is an American DJ, radio personality, Grammy nominated record producer, and entertainment and management company executive, who currently signed to OVO Sound and is also an on-air DJ for KQBT 93.7 The Beat. He is the owner of the Houston-based urban music online radio station ChopNotSlop Radio, former DJ of Southern rappers Chamillionaire and Slim Thug. Along with Michael 5000 Watts, he co-founded Swishahouse Records and helped jump-start the careers of Slim Thug, Chamillionaire, Paul Wall and Mike Jones. The leader and founder of The Chopstars, he was the first Houston DJ to receive his own day when he got a proclamation from Mayor Sylvester Turner. He is most known for his F-Action Series Mixtape which features R&B songs Chopped and Screwed and to date has over 4,200 mixtapes and albums, both at regular speed and chopped and screwed speed. He has sold over 22,000,000 mixtapes and albums to date. He also is the founder of Chopnotslop Radio a 24-hour "Screwed" Radio station dedicated to DJ Screw.
"Drank in My Cup" is a song by American rapper Kirko Bangz. It is taken from his mixtape Progression 2: A Young Texas Playa. The Sound M.O.B. produced single is his highest-charting song to date and has sold over 1,000,000 copies digitally. The song uses the word 'drank' a number of times as a clear reference to purple drank, a codeine-promethazine cocktail served in Sprite, a drink symbolic of the H-Town hip-hop scene, classically associated with chopped and screwed music. The Chopstars, also known as Chopstar DJs or simply Chopstars, are a collective that include American DJs and turntablists that perform chopped and screwed remixes of popular music under Chop Not Slop Ent. including Drake's 2011 Take Care album, as well as Little Dragon's 2014 Nabuma Rubberband album. and recently released Savage Mode II from Metro Boomin and 21 Savage. Created by OG Ron C, the co-founder of Swishahouse Records, it is a homage to the late DJ Screw. The motto of The Chopstars is "Keeping DJ Screw alive since 2001" and "Dedicated to the memory of DJ Screw." Notable members include DJ Candlestick, DJ Lil Steve, Mike G, DJ Ryan Wolf the official DJ of the Cleveland Browns, DJ Hollygrove formerly of KQBT, and Academy Award-winning director Barry Jenkins. They also received a proclamation from Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner on Nov 4th making July 1st The Chopstars Day.
