The Aller Værste! (1979–1981) was a Norwegian rock band from Bergen, that was awarded Spellemannprisen for the album Materialtretthet (1980). [1] [2] [3]
The Aller Værste! was influenced and inspired by punk, new wave, ska and reggae and released two albums and three 7" singles/EPs. Several of their releases are considered classics in Norwegian rock. They received a Spellemannprisen in 1980, for the album Materialtretthet. Their two first singles were played at the BBC, by program manager John Peel. [2]
The manager of the band was Lars Lauritzsen. They had a reunion tour in 1990 and concerts in Bergen and Oslo in 1999. Kern, Øhrn, Myrvold and Erichsen were in the rock band Johnny Banan Band before TAV!. After Ketil Kern left in 1981, Robert Isdal from the punk band Fader War played drums on the last single Hakk. Members of The Aller Værste! joined and became active in bands like The Beste, Ratataboo!, Løver og Tigre (together with Hot Club de Norvege), etc. The Aller Værste! is considered a Bergen band, even though none of the band members are from Bergen. Myrvold grew up in Stavanger, while the other four are from Oslo. [2]
A series of the most known songs by The Aller Værste! have been interpreted by various artists on the disc Dans til musikken, which is a tribute album to Lasse Myrvold. [4]

DumDum Boys are a Norwegian rock band from Trondheim. They are one of the most successful Norwegian rock acts of all time, and are considered one of the "four great" bands who popularized modern rock with Norwegian lyrics in the mid-to-late 1980s. Before breaking into the mainstream they were known as a punk rock act under the name Wannskrækk.
Ole Paus is a Norwegian singer, songwriter, poet and author, who is widely regarded as the foremost troubadour of the contemporary Norwegian ballad tradition. During the 1970s Paus was known for his biting social commentary, especially in his ironic and sometimes libellous "musical newspapers" in the form of broadside ballads in a series of albums titled "The Paus Post". He has later become known for a softer and more lyrical style, and has written some of Norway's best known songs, such as "Innerst i sjelen" and "Engler i sneen". He has often collaborated with Ketil Bjørnstad, notably on the "modern suite" Leve Patagonia; he has later collaborated with Kirkelig Kulturverksted on several projects, and with his son, the classical composer Marcus Paus, notably on the children's opera The Witches and several later works. One of his songs, "Mitt lille land", gained wide popularity after the 2011 Norway attacks and was described as "the new national anthem". He has been described as the Norwegian counterpart of Bob Dylan and as the "voice of the nation." Paus was discovered by artists Alf Cranner and Alf Prøysen, and was mentored by André Bjerke, Jens Bjørneboe and Henny Moan. Paus is noted for his consistent use of Norwegian and has been eager for other Norwegian musicians to switch from English to Norwegian.
Jon Arild Eberson is a Norwegian jazz guitarist and composer, the son of jazz guitarist Leif Eberson (1925–1970), and the father of keyboardist Marte Maaland Eberson. He was a member of the bands Moose Loose (1973–77), Radka Toneff Quintet (1975–80), and Blow Out (1977–78).
Ephemera is a Norwegian pop trio from Bergen. Formed in 1994, it consists of Christine Sandtorv, Inger-Lise Størksen and Jannicke Larsen.

Razika was a Norwegian alternative indie pop band from Møhlenpris, Bergen with various indie rock, punk, ska and reggae influences. While their early work featured some tracks in English, they primarily composed songs in their native Norwegian. In 2010, they were signed to the Smalltown Supersound label and have released four albums: Program 91, På vei hjem, Ut til de andre and Sånn Kjennes Verden Ut. Exhibiting more of a synth pop style, their fourth studio represented a stylistic departure from their previous work. Razika split up in 2019 after the summer festival season.
