GRITS American Christian hip hop group

Grits, is a Christian hip hop group from Nashville, Tennessee. Their name is an acronym, which stands for "Grammatical Revolution In the Spirit." GRITS is made up of Stacey "Coffee" Jones and Teron "Bonafide" Carter, both of whom were DC Talk dancers.

With origins in the 1980s, the term normally describes a homemade compilation of music onto a cassette tape, CD, or digital playlist. The songs are either ordered sequentially or made into a continuous program by beatmatching the songs and creating seamless transitions at their beginnings and endings with fades or abrupt edits. Essayist Geoffrey O'Brien described this definition of the mixtape as "perhaps the most widely practiced American art form".

Fort Minor: We Major, often known as We Major, is an official mixtape by American rapper Mike Shinoda's side-project Fort Minor, hosted by DJ Green Lantern. It was released on October 30, 2005, through the Warner Bros. and Machine Shop record labels. Perfect Stranger is the stage name of Yuli Fershtat, an Israeli-based musician, producer and DJ, born in 1970 in Moscow, Russia, moving to Israel at the age of 11. Fershtat has previously released music under guise of BLT. Perfect Stranger is well known for his own distinctive sound, characterised by groovy playful beats and patiently built compositions. His music often defies genres, bridging between progressive trance and techno with a presence of tribal and psychedelic elements. Fershtat released 8 albums so far, both as BLT and as Perfect Stranger and a long list of 12”, EPs and compilation tracks and compiled few compilations.
