The Bells The Bells is a remix CD/DVD album released by the electronic band Underworld in Japan on 25 June 2008. It includes remixes of songs from the album Oblivion with Bells , as well as a complementary DVD, which includes all the music videos for Oblivion with Bells. The album reached number 1 on the Tower Records Japan Club/Techno Chart. [1]

Contents

The album also includes the previously unreleased song, "Parc", which was released by Underworld as the official J-Wave 20th Anniversary Song. [2] The song is a reworking of a previous live performance of the then-named "Darc" in Amsterdam in 2005. [3] A slightly edited version of "Parc" was later included on The Anthology 1992–2012 .

Underworld (band) British electronic music duo

Underworld are a British electronic music group formed in 1987 in Cardiff, Wales and the principal collaborative project of Karl Hyde and Rick Smith. Prominent former members include Darren Emerson, from 1991 to 2001, and Darren Price, as part of the live band from 2005 to 2016.

Akina Nakamori is a Japanese singer and actress. She is one of the most popular and top-selling artists in Japan. Akina achieved national recognition when she won the 1981 season of the talent show Star Tanjō!. Her debut single "Slow Motion" was released to moderate success, peaking at number thirty on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart. Nakamori's popularity increased with the release of her follow-up single, "Shōjo A", which peaked at number five on the Oricon charts and sold over 390,000 copies. Her second album Variation became her first number-one on the Oricon Weekly Albums Chart, staying in that position for three weeks. She made her acting debut in 1985 with an appearance in the Japanese romance movie Ai, Tabidachi. After an extended hiatus from 2010 to 2014, Akina released two compilation albums, All Time Best: Original and All Time Best: Utahime Cover, both of which were commercially successful. As of 2011, Akina has sold over 25.3 million records and was named the third best-selling female Japanese idol singer of all time.

In the Running is the fifth album by British pop musician Howard Jones, released in 1992. It was his last original studio album recorded on the Warner/Elektra label. It contains the US Top 40 hit "Lift Me Up". The album marked a conscious move away from the use of electronic instrumentation and a move to piano based melodies. Guests on the album include Midge Ure and Mark Brzezicki. Rupert Hine was the album's executive producer . A successful acoustic tour took place in 1992 with Howard playing all over Europe and the USA on grand piano accompanied by Carol Steele on percussion. The album was remastered and released on CD in 2012, with Cherry Red Records announcing the 'Expanded Deluxe 3CD+DVD' version in 2021, which will be issued alongside a coloured vinyl version of the album in April.
