Seasons on ProSieben

Season One

Season one was shown on ProSieben in early 2009. The show was hosted by retired figure skater Katharina Witt and filmed on a Hacienda near Budapest. The season consisted of 7 episodes and featured 14 candidates contesting for a 100,000 € first prize. The season had mostly negative critiques and was not renewed. [3] The season was won by Enrico Proba who lost over 50% of his starting weight. He won the first prize of 100,000 €, Falko gained 10,000 € for second and René got 5,000 €. After the show, Enrico works in dietics and is a fitness trainer.

Seasons on kabel eins

Season Two

Season two of The Biggest Loser was held in 2010 on Mallorca. The slogan of that season was Abspecken im Doppelpack (Losing weight in double pack). The host was retired boxer Regina Halmich. There were eight teams with 2 persons each. One team was evicted each week until three were left, after which the teams were dissolved and everyone was as individuals. The first prize was much lower this season with the winner getting only 25,000 € and nothing going to second and third place. The biggest loser title was won by Heino from Hamburg who shared the prize with his teammate Sven, who finished third.

Season Three

After the success of season two with average market shares of 6.4% within the target group of 14- to 49-year-olds Kabel Eins announced a season three for March 2011. The will be no changes in host or trainers, and the show will be taped in Ischgl, Austria. [4]

The season started on 15 March 2011 and featured 9 couples. [5] The winner received 25.000 €.

All of these seasons were hosted in Andalusia.

Season Four

In 2012 a fourth season was shown on Sat.1 with kickboxer Christine Theiss as a new host. [6]

Season Five

In 2013 Biggest Loser returned for a fifth season. [7]

Season Six

In 2014 there was a sixth season. [8] The episodes were aired every Wednesday at 8:15 pm. There also was a Biggest Loser Teens season in the second half of the year. [9]

Season Seven

In 2015 Biggest Loser returned for a seventh season. Eight men and eight women completed under the motto men versus women. [10]

The ninth season of the talent show The Voice of Germany premiered on September 12, 2019 on ProSieben and on September 15, 2019 on Sat.1. The coaches were the singer and songwriter Mark Forster returning for his third season, while songwriter and singer Rea Garvey, who last coached in the fifth season returned alongside new coaches, pop musician Alice Merton and rapper Sido, who replaced Michi & Smudo, Yvonne Catterfeld and Michael Patrick Kelly. For the first time in its history, the show featured a fifth coach, Nico Santos, who selected contestants to participate in The Voice: Comeback Stage by SEAT. Meanwhile hosts Thore Schölermann returned for his eighth season and Lena Gercke returned for her fifth season.

The Masked Singer is a German reality singing competition television series that premiered on ProSieben on 27 June 2019. It is part of the Masked Singer franchise which began in South Korea and features celebrities singing songs while wearing head-to-toe costumes and face masks concealing their identities. The show is hosted by Matthias Opdenhövel, the program employs panelists who guess the celebrities' identities by interpreting clues provided to them throughout each season. Since the fourth season, Ruth Moschner is the main panelist. Other panelists from previous seasons include Collien Ulmen-Fernandes, Max Giesinger, Bülent Ceylan, Sonja Zietlow and Rea Garvey. The audience vote for their favorite singer after all perform. The least popular is eliminated, taking off their mask to reveal their identity.

The second season of the German singing competition The Masked Singer premiered on 10 March 2020 on ProSieben. Ruth Moschner returned in the panelist, with Rea Garvey, replacing Collien Ulmen-Fernandes and Max Giesinger. Matthias Opdenhövel also returned as host.

The third season of the German singing competition The Masked Singer premiered on 20 October 2020 on ProSieben. This season in the panel were Bülent Ceylan and Sonja Zietlow, replacing Ruth Moschner and Rea Garvey. Matthias Opdenhövel also returned as host.

The tenth season, also known as the anniversary season of the talent show The Voice of Germany premiered on October 8, 2020 on ProSieben and on October 11, 2020 on Sat.1. Mark Forster returned as coach for his fourth season and Rea Garvey returned for his sixth season, but this time paired up as a duo with Samu Haber, who returned for his fifth season; Haber last coached in the seventh season. Yvonne Catterfeld and Stefanie Kloß, who last coached in the eighth season and in the fifth season, respectively, returned as coaches and as a duo. In the last season Nico Santos was featured as an off-screen fifth coach for Comeback Stage contestants; this season he returned as a main coach in the red chair. The role of fifth coach belonged to Michael Schulte, who selected contestants to participate in The Voice: Comeback Stage by SEAT. Thore Schölermann returned for his ninth season as host. Lena Gercke also returned for her sixth season as host, but she was only in the live shows phase, due to her pregnancy. Annemarie Carpendale replaced Gercke in the others stages of the show.

The eleventh season of the talent show The Voice of Germany premiered on October 7, 2021 on ProSieben and on October 10, 2021 on Sat.1. Both singers and songwriters Mark Forster and Nico Santos returned as coaches for their fifth and second seasons, respectively, and two new coaches joined: singers and songwriters Johannes Oerding, and Sarah Connor, who replaced Samu Haber & Rea Garvey, and Stefanie Kloss & Yvonne Catterfeld. The Masked Dancer is a German reality competition television series that premiered on ProSieben on 6 January 2022, based on the American television series of the same name. Like The Masked Singer's format, celebrity contestants wear head-to-toe costumes and face masks that conceal their identities. Matthias Opdenhövel hosts the show, with Alexander Klaws and Steven Gätjen serving as panelists.

The sixth season of the German singing competition The Masked Singer premiered on 19 March 2022 on ProSieben. Ruth Moschner and Rea Garvey returned to the panel. Matthias Opdenhövel also returned as host. Thore Schölermann hosted only the first episode after Opdenhövel tested positive for COVID-19.

The seventh season of the German singing competition The Masked Singer premiered on 1 October 2022 on ProSieben. Ruth Moschner returned to the panel and Matthias Opdenhövel also returned as host.
