The British School is a private international school in Sanepa, Kathmandu, Bagmati Province, Nepal. It was established in 1966 to serve the British community, [1] but is an inclusive school which has over 40 different nationalities and over 500 students. The British School offers education from foundation up to Year 13.
It delivers the English National Curriculum with full-time UK-recruited staff.
The school has its own artificial turf pitches, two multi-purpose sports areas, science laboratories, and two libraries, one for primary and one for secondary. It also has many small gardens, a duck pond, [1] and parking for staff and students, including bike stands.
The British School started in 1966 [1] as a school for British and Commonwealth parents who wanted British-style education for their children. The school originally offered primary education. [1] On the 7th of July 1967, the Government of Nepal gave official recognition to The British School and has since been supported by the British Embassy. [1]
In 1997, the school expanded its curriculum to include Key Stage 3 students and they moved their campus to Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur. [1]
In February 1998, the Prince of Wales opened the new campus. [1]
In August 2004, the school expanded its curriculum to include A-Levels. [1]

Kathmandu University High School (KUHS) is a high school in Chaukot, Panauti, in the Kavrepalanchok District, Nepal. Kathmandu University High School, initially named as Kathmandu University Preparatory School was established in 1998 A.D. with only 60 primary students from local areas and children of the staffs of Kathmandu University. The School started in a rented building near by a place called Bansghari in Dhulikhel with few staff by Mr. Aiden Warlow as a principal. Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya is a military boarding high school in Nepal, established in 1986. The school was formerly known as Birendra Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya and Suping Campus. The school is located in Sallaghari, Bhaktapur. It was established in 1986 in Sallaghari, Bhaktapur. Kalidas Shrestha was a Nepalese painter, sculptor, arts administrator, and social activist. He the founding chairman of Kamala Memorial Community Service Center; and also founded the Nepal Fine Arts College, where he served as its first principal. Shrestha also served as an honorable member of Nepal Academy.
The British International School of Houston (BISH), formerly the British School of Houston (BSOH), is a non-sectarian, co-educational college preparatory day school in the Greater Katy region of the Houston area. Koteshwar is a place, located in Kathmandu District. In 1991, Kathmandu Metropolitan City was expanded by incorporating Koteshwar as Ward No. 32. It encompasses 395 hectares and is bounded by the Manohara river in the east and south, the Bagmati river in the west, and share borders with Gothatar in the north, Madhyapur Thimi municipality of Bhaktapur District in east and Lalitpur metropolitan city in the south. With respect to basic services, almost all homes in the ward have access to electricity, but the same cannot be said about drinking water. Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS) is an autonomous, not-for-profit, public institution of higher education established in 2064 B.S. with the charter granted by the Parliament of Nepal.
