Hong Sang-soo is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. An acclaimed and prolific filmmaker, Hong is known for his slow-paced films about love affairs and everyday dilemmas in contemporary South Korea.

The Thessaloniki International Film Festival (TIFF) is a film festival held every November in Thessaloniki, Greece. The Leopard of Honour is a life's work achievement award at the Locarno International Film Festival held annually in Locarno, Switzerland. The award has been given out since 1989. The award especially denotes recognition of auteur cinema and creative and audacious filmmaking. Starting in 2009, the prize was named in Italian after its sponsor, becoming the "Pardo d'onore Swisscom".

She won the Silver Bear for Best Actress for her performance in Hong's 2017 film On the Beach at Night Alone. In 2024, she won the Pardo for Best Performance at the 77th Locarno Film Festival for her role in By the Stream.
Kim Sang-joong is a South Korean actor. He is best known for starring in the television dramas My Husband's Woman (2007), City Hunter (2011), and The Chaser (2012). He won the Grand Prize at the MBC Drama Awards for his performance in the historical television series The Rebel (2017).
In Another Country is a 2012 South Korean comedy-drama film written and directed by Hong Sang-soo. Set in a seaside town, the film consists of three parts that tell the story of three women, all named Anne and all played by French actress Isabelle Huppert. The film competed for the Palme d'Or at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. The film was selected as part of the 2013 Hong Kong International Film Festival.

Kim Young-ho is a South Korean actor and singer. Kim was a vocalist for underground rock band Ji-poong-woo in Cheongju in 1988, and performed at the River Music Festival in 1990. He made his musical theatre debut in 1994, and began acting onscreen in 1999. Kim has since appeared in film, television and stage, notably in Club Butterfly (2001), Blue (2003), Night and Day (2008), Portrait of a Beauty (2008) and City of Fathers (2009).

It was selected to compete for the Golden Bear in the main competition section of the 67th Berlin International Film Festival, where Kim Min-hee won the Silver Bear for Best Actress award.
Claire's Camera is a 2017 drama film written, produced, and directed by Hong Sang-soo and starring Isabelle Huppert and Kim Min-hee. It had its world premiere in the Special Screening section of the 2017 Cannes Film Festival and released in France on 7 March 2018.

The Novelist's Film is a 2022 South Korean black and white drama film written, directed, produced, photographed, scored and edited by Hong Sang-soo. The Novelist's Film, starring Lee Hye-young and Kim Min-hee, was described as the film that "celebrates the beauty of chance encounters, while talking about the importance of authenticity in the dishonest world of cinema" by the executive director Carlo Chatrian of 72nd Berlin International Film Festival, where it premiered in the competition section on February 16, 2022. It is the third consecutive year that Hong Sang-soo has been invited to the festival. The film won the Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize at the festival, which is the 4th for Sang-soo. It was released theatrically in South Korea on April 21, 2022.

By the Stream is a 2024 South Korean drama film written and directed by Hong Sang-soo. In August 2024, the film was selected to compete for the Golden Leopard at the 77th Locarno Film Festival, where Kim Min-hee won Pardo for Best Performance Award.
