The End of Time is a 2017 experimental short film by Milcho Manchevski, a U.S.-Cuban co-production.
The End of Time is an experimental film about that one hypnotic moment on a regular, unassuming Tuesday when one realizes that time has stopped and the universe has been sucked into a single smile.
Principal photography took place in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. Post-production was completed in New York City and Macedonia. Cinematography by Alain López Martínez, edited by Kristina Pozenel, music and sound design by Igor Vasilev Novogradska, visual effects by Misho Ristov Rex, and color grading by Michael Dwass.[ citation needed ]

THE END OF TIME is an impressive minimalist phenomenology of time, consciousness and selfhood. Subtle art stratification of the awareness of the duration of a multitude of timelines within a film frame and the distillation of a pure emotion. A sunny Cuban afternoon on a street in San Antonio de los Baños, the fictitious mise-en-scène gradually breaks down, fragmenting into a crystalline pictorial structure with a disrhythmic duration of the whole, a micro-image archipelago with unequal deceleration of the parts. The quest for a fixed point hypnotizes and displaces the normal conditions of the perception of time.
THE END OF TIME, a winner of the prestigious Ellen Award at one of the most renowned short film festivals in Aspen, as well as the award at the Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival in Czech Republic, is incredibly attractive cinematic and artistic playfulness, an experimental transcendental journey to something we are very familiar with, but in the same time remains very difficult to grasp, to those rare and timeless moments when we feel truly ourselves, truly at home.

The Heart of the World is a short film written and directed by Guy Maddin, produced for the 2000 Toronto International Film Festival. Maddin was one of a number of directors commissioned to make four-minute short films that would screen prior to the various feature films at the 2000 festival as part of the special Preludes program. After hearing rumours that other directors were planning films with a small number of shots, Maddin decided that his film would instead contain over 100 shots per minute, and enough plot for a feature-length film. Maddin then wrote and shot The Heart of the World in the style of Russian constructivism, taking the commission at its literal face value, as a call to produce a propaganda film. Even in its expanded, 6-minute version, The Heart of the World runs at a breakneck speed, averaging roughly two shots per second, a pace intensified by the background music, Time, Forward! by Georgy Sviridov.

Before the Rain is a 1994 Macedonian war film written and directed by Milcho Manchevski, starring Katrin Cartlidge, Rade Šerbedžija, Grégoire Colin and Labina Mitevska. Photographed by Manuel Teran, edited by Nicolas Guster and featuring an original score by Macedonian band Anastasia, the film was praised in reviews and at festivals for its sophisticated interplay of three seemingly unrelated short narratives and the emotional effect of its directing. Igor Vasilev, credited as Novogradska is a Macedonian composer/musician. He is most famous for his work with Milčo Mančevski on the soundtracks to the films Mothers and Bikini Moon. He collaborated with Macedonian singer Karolina Gočeva on the hit song Ajde da letame, which topped the national charts in 2000 and 2001. He also did music for the two commercials under the title "Macedonia Timeless," which were aired on CNN and many other television stations worldwide promoting Macedonian tourism.
