The Evpatoria Report is a Swiss post-rock band. The band was formed in January 2002, and it consists of two guitarists, a bassist, a drummer, and a violinist/keyboardist. The Evpatoria Report have played concerts in Paris and toured throughout Switzerland, playing with bands such as Red Sparowes, The Appleseed Cast, and Mono. [1] The band was on a hiatus from 2008 until they announced their return to the studio in April 2015.

The band was formed in January 2002 and is named for the Ukrainian city Yevpatoria in Crimea (romanized from Russian as Evpatoria), in which the radio telescope RT-70 P-2500 is located. It sends messages into space, including A Message From Earth and Cosmic Call, that try to describe human life or "the Evpatoria message". [2]

Troy Van Leeuwen is an American musician and record producer. He is best known as a guitarist and multi-instrumentalist in the rock band Queens of the Stone Age, with whom he has recorded five studio albums. Golevka is the first full-length album by Swiss post-rock band The Evpatoria Report. It was released through Shayo Records on 7 April 2005, re-issued by Twilight Records in 2008 as a digipak then released again in 2009 by Pastel Music as a bundle with the band's self-titled EP. The album was recorded by Serge Morattel at Rec Studio in Geneva then mastered by Glenn Miller at Greenwood Mastering Studios in Nunningen. The album is named after the 6489 Golevka asteroid studied in 1991 by the Yevpatoria RT-70 radio telescope in Ukraine.

Maar is the second studio album by Swiss post-rock band The Evpatoria Report. It was released through Get A Life! Records on 5 September 2008. The album was recorded and mixed by Serge Morattel at Rec Studio in Geneva then mixed by Glenn Miller at Greenwood Studios in Basel.
