The Great Execution is the eighth studio album by Brazilian death metal band Krisiun. It was released on 31 October 2011 by Century Media Records and produced by Andy Classen. [6] The album was made available as a digital download, CD and vinyl format, including a limited edition transparent red edition. [7] A limited edition version of the album contains a re-recording of the track "Black Force Domain". [8] A music video for "The Will To Potency" was released on 13 December 2012. [9] A music video for "Blood of Lions" was released on 16 October 2014. [10]

Krisiun is a Brazilian death metal band, founded by brothers Alex Camargo, Moyses Kolesne (guitars) and Max Kolesne (drums). Since its formation in 1990, the group recorded two demos, Evil Age in 1991 and Curse of the Evil One in 1992, and self-released an extended play (EP) titled Unmerciful Order in 1993. After signing with Dynamo Records, Krisiun released the debut full-length Black Force Domain in 1995, followed by Apocalyptic Revelation, in 1998. They signed with major label Century Media in 1999, releasing a further nine studio albums.

Hatchet is an American thrash metal band from San Francisco, California, formed in January 2005 by guitarist and vocalist Julz Ramos, the band's only remaining original member. To date, they have released four studio albums, two demos and one EP, and are now notable for being part of the thrash metal revival movement in the late 2000s. Influenced by the new wave of British heavy metal and Bay Area thrash metal scenes of the 1980s, Hatchet's music has been variously described by critics as thrash metal, crossover thrash and punk rock.
