Background

Following signing their record deal with London Records (Universal Music) they recorded their debut album with the legendary producer Larry Klein (who has worked with Joni Mitchell, Herbie Hancock and Madeleine Peyroux) in Los Angeles in April 2012. The album features songs such as L'Americano, Aicha, Ventura Highway and Marrakesh Express as well as vocals from Madeleine Peyroux, Graham Nash (Crosby Stills and Nash), Gerry Beckley, Dewey Bunnell and Pianist Booker T.

"I'm All Right" is the opening track of Half the Perfect World, Madeleine Peyroux's third solo album. The song was composed by Walter Becker, Larry Klein and Madeleine Peyroux. It was released as a single and Peyroux sang it in her "Live from Abbey Road" episode. When she was awarded with BBC Best International Jazz Artist in 2007, this was the chosen song for the CD with the winning performers.

Once in a While was one of the four original songs Madeleine Peyroux released on her third solo album "Half the Perfect World. It was the third and last single from that album.
The tune, considered one of the highlights of the album, was written by Joe Harris, producer Larry Klein and Peyroux herself. Mark Orton made the arrangements on the album version.
In the song, Peyroux tells to her ex-lover that she still thinks of him "once in a while" and that she "still smiles when she thinks on their kisses" but she is "tired of dying" and so she'll "live instead". The song did not chart and there was no videoclip filmed. Along with this song, on the EP was also released a cover of Leonard Cohen's and Anjani Thomas' "Blue Alert".

"You Can't Do Me" was the first single of Madeleine Peyroux's fourth solo album - Bare Bones - and it hit the radio stations on January 26, 2009. The music was written by Walter Becker and Larry Klein with lyrics by Peyroux. The song was produced by Larry Klein; it begins with an insistent piano chord. No video was produced to accompany the track.
