The Harbour is a mental health hospital in Blackpool, Lancashire, England. It is managed by Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust. The hospital provides in-patient mental health services for Lancashire. [1]

History

The hospital was officially opened by Alastair Campbell in October 2015. [2] Since opening it has had difficulties attracting sufficient skilled psychiatric staff. [3]

Spiral Health is a Community Interest Company based in Blackpool formed in 2012 by nurses from Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Healthcare in Lancashire in 2015 was the responsibility of seven clinical commissioning groups covering Blackpool, Chorley and South Ribble, East Lancashire, Fylde and Wyre, Greater Preston, Lancaster North and West Lancashire. In 1 April 2017 32 GP practices from Cumbria Clinical Commissioning Group merged with Lancashire North CCG to form Morecambe Bay CCG which was abolished in July 2022 when integrated care systems were introduced.
