The Human Element is the debut full-length album released on January 21, 2011 by Oshawa, Ontario rock duo The Standstills. The album was recorded off the floor at a cottage studio in Fenelon Falls, Ontario with engineer Damien Jacobs. The album was self-produced with JUNO Awards winner Dan Brodbeck handling mixing duties. All songs were written by The Standstills except for Black Betty, originally by Ledbelly. A music video was released for Black Betty on June 21, 2011 filmed by Joe Andrus.

Spiderbait is an Australian alternative rock band formed in Finley, New South Wales in 1991 by bass guitarist and singer Janet English, drummer and singer Kram, and guitarist Damian Whitty. In 2004 the group's cover version of the 1930s Lead Belly song "Black Betty" reached number one on the ARIA Singles Chart. They have five top 20 albums: The Unfinished Spanish Galleon of Finley Lake (1995), Ivy and the Big Apples (1996), Grand Slam (1999), Tonight Alright (2004), and Greatest Hits (2005). The group have won two ARIA Music Awards with the first in 1997 as 'Best Alternative Release' for Ivy and the Big Apples and the second in 2000 as 'Best Cover Art' for their single "Glockenpop". Between 2004 and 2013 the band was on hiatus to concentrate on solo projects and their personal lives—although periodically returning for occasional gigs. Black Celebration is the fifth studio album by English electronic music band Depeche Mode. It was released on 17 March 1986 by Mute Records. The album further cemented the darkening sound created by Alan Wilder, which the band later used for their subsequent albums Music for the Masses, Violator, and Songs of Faith and Devotion, a sound that was initially hinted towards on their albums Construction Time Again and Some Great Reward.

Alexisonfire Canadian post-hardcore band

Alexisonfire is a five-piece Canadian post-hardcore band that formed in St. Catharines, Ontario in 2001. They describe their music as "the sound of two Catholic high-school girls in mid-knife-fight". When the band emerged in late 2001, it was enough to impress critics as well as earning their self-titled debut album a platinum certification in Canada. The band has released three subsequent successful studio albums since then: Watch Out! in 2004, Crisis in 2006, and Old Crows/Young Cardinals in 2009, each achieving platinum certification in their native country. Plus three special edition live albums from Manchester Academy, Birmingham Academy, and Brixton Academy. Their accolades include a 2005 Juno Award for New Group of the Year.

The discography of Ozzy Osbourne, an English heavy metal musician, consists of 12 studio albums, five live albums, seven compilation albums, five extended plays (EPs), 63 singles, nine video albums and 39 music videos. After being fired from Black Sabbath in 1979, Osbourne started his solo career with a band consisting of guitarist Randy Rhoads, bassist Bob Daisley and drummer Lee Kerslake. Black Swan is the fourth album by English rock band Athlete. released on 24 August 2009 it is their first release with Fiction Records. The album charted in the UK at number 18 on 30 August. The first single lifted from the album, "Superhuman Touch", was released on 17 August 2009 while "The Getaway" is lifted as the first single in the US. "Black Swan Song" proceeded as the second single taken off the record and a UK release of "The Getaway". It was also speculated and mentioned by the band that "Light the Way" was intended for a single release, but was yielded due to the 'Singles:01-10' compilation release.

Chris Robinson Brotherhood American blues rock band

Chris Robinson Brotherhood was an American blues rock band formed in 2011 by Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson while the Crowes were on hiatus. The original lineup consisted of Robinson, Neal Casal, Mark Dutton, George Sluppick (drums), and Adam MacDougall (keyboards). Since 2015, the band had undergone various personnel changes with Robinson and Casal remaining the only constant members. From The Devil's Porch is a 2015 EP released by The Standstills on eOne Music Canada. The lead single off the EP "Orleans" has been rotated heavily on Canadian rock radio and most recently the band released their second single for radio "Rise of the Fall" in early 2016. The band has a music video for "Orleans" which was released on November 27, 2015 and the lead single is also featured in a commercial for Fido.
