Willy Albertina Verbrugge, known as Willeke Alberti, is a Dutch singer and actress, the daughter of entertainer and singer Willy Alberti (1926–1985) and Hendrika Geertruida Kuiper (1921–2011).
Peter Verhelst is a Belgian Flemish novelist, poet and dramatist. He won the Ferdinand Bordewijk Prijs for Tongkat.
Jack Wouterse is a Dutch actor. His career as a movie actor took off with his role in the 1992 film The Northerners, directed by Alex van Warmerdam. Wouterse made his international debut in an episode of the TV series Band of Brothers. He frequently worked with murdered Dutch director Theo van Gogh.
The Dutch language in its modern form does not have grammatical cases, and nouns only have singular and plural forms. Many remnants of former case declensions remain in the Dutch language, but few of them are productive. One exception is the genitive case, which is still productive to a certain extent. Although in the spoken language the case system was probably in a state of collapse as early as the 16th century, cases were still prescribed in the written standard up to 1946/1947. A Woman Like Eve is a 1979 Dutch drama film directed by Nouchka van Brakel, about a woman who leaves her husband for another woman. The film stars Monique van de Ven in the title role of Eve, with Peter Faber as her husband Ad and Maria Schneider as Liliane, who becomes Eve's lover. The plot focuses on the child custody battle that ensues after Eve leaves her husband.

Maurits Binger was a Dutch film director, producer and screenwriter of the silent era. He directed 39 films between 1913 and 1922 and is considered one of the pioneers of fictional films in the Netherlands. Binger's studio and base of operations was in Haarlem, North Holland. Between 1919 and 1923 he was managing director of Anglo-Hollandia an attempt to break into the larger British market. There is a film institute in the Netherlands in his name. He is sometimes referred to as Maurice Binger.
The Gouden Strop is the annual award for the best crime novel in the Dutch language. The prize has been awarded since 1986. The winner receives € 10,000 and a statuette. Its Belgian equivalent is the Diamanten Kogel.
Wim Hora Adema was a Dutch author of children's literature and a feminist, notable for being the co-founder of Opzij, founded in 1972 as a radical feminist monthly magazine. She was one of the best-known women of the Dutch second wave of feminism.
Two Women with a Candle or Old Woman and Young Woman with a Candle is a 1616-1617 painting by Peter Paul Rubens, now in the Mauritshuis, The Hague, Netherlands. Its chiaroscuro shows strong influence from Caravaggio, whose work Rubens had seen during a stay in Rome.
