The Jet Set (also known as Jet Set TV) is an American travel-themed nationally syndicated television series which is broadcast weekly. [2] The show debuted with hosts Bobby Laurie, Jessica Reyes and Gailen David. [3] [4] [5] In 2018 Nikki Noya [6] replaced Jessica Reyes [7] and in 2019 Gailen David left the show. The travel and lifestyle show started in 2016 and has been running for 5 seasons so far. The show is produced by On it media where the production studio is located at Washington DC. [8]
The first episode of the Jet Set was broadcast on 5 March 2016. [9] Since then total of five seasons of the show has been filmed with each season having more or less 40 episodes each. The show is broadcast on different networks including AMGTV, Z Living, STARLITE, ABC, NBC and CBS stations. [10] [11] The historical episodes are watchable from the website of the Jet Set Tv. While the main language for the talk show is English, it has a corresponding text based news service portal 'TJS Espanol' delivering news and information in the same domain, which is available only in spanish language. [15]

During January 2018, a news story reported by Jet Set TV attracted considerable media attention [24] [25] [26] [27] [28] [29] [30] where a female traveler along with her 'emotional support' peacock was prohibited from being onboarded by United Airlines at Newark airport. [31] [32] [33] The event, as reported triggered a lot of commentaries and remarks both in favor and against the existing policies and regulations about the 'emotional support' animals on flight. [34] [35] [36] [37] [38] [39] As the repercussion due to the news and its associated commentaries, United Airlines was compelled to change its policy on 'emotional support' animals. [40] [41]

Turkish Airlines Flight 981 (TK981/THY981) was a scheduled flight from Istanbul Yeşilköy Airport to London Heathrow Airport, with an intermediate stop at Orly Airport in Paris. On 3 March 1974, the McDonnell Douglas DC-10 operating the flight crashed into the Ermenonville Forest, 37.76 kilometres (23.46 mi) outside Paris, killing all 335 passengers and 11 crew on board. The crash was also known as the Ermenonville air disaster. Flight 981 was the deadliest plane crash in aviation history until 27 March 1977, when 583 people died in the Tenerife airport disaster. It remains the deadliest single-aircraft accident without survivors, the second hull loss, the deadliest accident involving the McDonnell Douglas DC-10, and the deadliest aviation accident to occur in France.

The Marine Air Terminal is an airport terminal located at LaGuardia Airport in Queens, New York City. Its main building, designed in the Art Deco style by William Delano of the firm Delano & Aldrich, opened in 1940. The terminal was built to handle Pan Am's fleet of flying boats, the Boeing 314 Clippers, which landed on the nearby Bowery Bay. Technological advances after World War II made the Clippers obsolete, and the Marine Air Terminal was renovated in 1946 to serve conventional planes. As of April 2024, the terminal is used by Spirit Airlines for flights to various destinations around the U.S.

The Sundrome, later TWA Domestic Terminal and Terminal 6, was one of several terminals at John F. Kennedy International Airport. It was designed by I. M. Pei & Partners. Opened in 1969, it was initially used by National Airlines. It had been occupied at various times by Trans World Airlines, Pan Am, United Airlines, ATA Airlines, Pan American Airways (1996–1998), Carnival Airlines, Vanguard Airlines, and America West Airlines. Most recently, from 1998 to 2008, Terminal 6 was the home of JetBlue. It became vacant on October 22, 2008, when JetBlue moved to Terminal 5, and finally demolished in 2011.
The TWA Flight Center, also known as the Trans World Flight Center, is an airport terminal and hotel complex at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City. The original terminal building, or head house, operated as a terminal from 1962 to 2001 and was adaptively repurposed in 2017 as part of the TWA Hotel. The head house is partially encircled by a replacement terminal building completed in 2008, and flanked by two buildings added for the hotel. The replacement terminal is home to JetBlue's JFK operations. The head house and terminal are collectively known as Terminal 5 or T5.

China Northwest Airlines Flight 2303 was a domestic flight from Xi'an to Guangzhou, People's Republic of China. On June 6, 1994, the aircraft operating the flight, a Tupolev Tu-154M, broke up in-flight and crashed as a result of an autopilot malfunction which caused violent shaking and overstressed the airframe. All 160 people on board were killed. As of 2024, it remains the deadliest airplane crash ever in mainland China.
Wow Air, stylized as WOW air, was an Icelandic ultra low-cost carrier operating between 2012 and 2019. The airline was headquartered in Reykjavík and based at Keflavík International Airport. It contains a total of 512 rooms, as well as conference space, several restaurants, and an aviation history museum.
Olympic Airways Flight 411 was a flight from Ellinikon International Airport bound for John F. Kennedy International Airport and operated by Olympic Airways using a Boeing 747-200. On August 9, 1978, the flight came close to crashing in downtown Athens. Despite maneuvers near the edge of the flight envelope, none of the 418 passengers and crew suffered serious injury.
