The Long Weekend EP in an EP released by Barenaked Ladies on July 1, 2014. [1] It was released in Canada, though a deluxe edition of Grinning Streak was released in the U.S., containing acoustic versions of "Odds Are", "Smile" and "Blame It On Me". [2] [3] The live version of "Did I Say That Out Loud?" was not included on the U.S. version.

Recording

The acoustic tracks were recorded in March 2014 at bassist Jim Creeggan's home in Toronto. The band posted weekly "Webisodes", including behind-the-scenes footage of the recording sessions for the EP on their official YouTube channel. [4] [5] [6] [7] The EP was produced by Barenaked Ladies, mixed and engineered by Kenny Luong and mastered by Harry Hess at HBomb Mastering.

Barenaked Ladies is a Canadian rock band formed in 1988 in Scarborough, Ontario. The band developed a cult following in Canada, with their self-titled 1991 cassette becoming the first independent release to be certified gold in Canada. San Cisco Australian indie pop band

San Cisco is an Australian indie pop band that formed in 2009 under the original name of King George, in Fremantle, Western Australia. The band are a three-piece, and currently consists of Jordi Davieson, Josh Biondillo and Scarlett Stevens. All members, except Stevens, share duties on keyboards. In November 2011, the band was signed by Albert Productions, but moved to Island Records for the release of its debut album. In October 2012, the band described its 'vibe' as "squelchy, crispy, streamlined, hairy, indie". At the ARIA Music Awards of 2013 the group were nominated for Best Independent Release and Best Dance Release for the album; and Best Video for "Fred Astaire", which was directed by Andrew Nowrojee.
