The Millions is a 2019 Nigerian comedy thriller film directed by Toka McBaror and written by Tunde Apalowo. The film stars Ramsey Nouah, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Toyin Abraham in the lead roles. [1] It was one of the most expensive films to be made in the Nigerian cinema with an estimated budget of whopping ₦62 million. [2] The film had its theatrical release in Nigeria on 30 August 2019 and received positive reviews from the critics. [3] The film became a box office success grossing ₦12.5 million worldwide and was the second highest grossing Nigerian film in September 2019 after Kasanova . [4]
The story revolves around the lives of five guys who come together to carry out a massive money heist in Nigeria. Bem Kator a charismatic con man plays the lead character to successfully launch the heist as planned. But things don't go in the way he would have expected with an interesting climax forming up the crux.
The principal photography of the film was commenced on 9 January 2019 and was shot for a duration of 17 days in various locations of Nigeria in Kaduna, Abuja and Lagos. [5] The film was produced by former international model Chika Lann who coincidentally made her debut in Nollywood industry as a filmmaker through this project. [6] She also landed a supportive role in the film which also marked her film acting debut.
Ramsey Nouah is a Nigerian actor and director. He won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in 2010 for his performance in the movie The Figurine. He made his directorial debut with the film Living in Bondage: Breaking Free in 2019 and also went on to direct Nollywood classic Rattle Snake: The Ahanna Story which is a remake of Rattlesnake (1995).
Osariemen Martha Elizabeth Ighodaro is a Nigerian actress, television host and philanthropist born in the United States. She won the 2010 Miss Black USA Pageant and founded the Joyful Joy Foundation, a fundraising organization for malaria. Osas emerged as the highest-grossing Nollywood actress of 2018 and was awarded Best Actress in a Drama consecutively at the 2022 and 2023 AMVCA for her roles in Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story and Man of God, respectively.
Blossom Chukwujekwu is a Nigerian actor, who made his professional acting debut in 2009. In 2015, he won the Best Supporting Actor Award at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

Fate of Alakada: The Party Planner also known as Fate of Alakada is a 2020 Nigerian action comedy film written by Moshood Yakubu Olawale and Ozioma Ogbaji, and directed by Kayode Kasum. Omo Ghetto: The Saga also known as Omo Ghetto 2 is a 2020 Nigerian gangster comedy film co-directed by Funke Akindele and JJC Skillz. The film stars Funke Akindele, Chioma Akpota, Nancy Isime, Eniola Badmus, Bimbo Thomas, Deyemi Okanlawon and Mercy Aigbe in the lead roles. This was the second film in the Omo Ghetto franchise and it was also the sequel to the 2010 trilogy film Omo Ghetto. The film had its theatrical release coinciding with Christmas on 25 December 2020 and was opened to extremely positive reviews from critics. The film became a box office success and surpassed Fate of Alakada as the highest grossing Nigerian film for the year 2020. As of 26 January 2021, when the film grossed ₦468 million at the box office it surpassed the record of 2016 film The Wedding Party to become the highest ever grossing film in the Nigerian film industry.
Day of Destiny also known as D.O.D is a 2021 Nigerian sci-fi adventure film written and co-directed by Akay Mason and Abosi Ogba. Abosi Ogba made his directorial debut in this film. The film stars Olumide Oworu, Denola Grey, Norbert Young and Toyin Abraham in the lead roles. The film is based on the mysterious adventures of two teenage brothers who travel back in time by 20 years to change the fortunes of the family. Queen Lateefah is a 2024 Nigerian drama film written by Anthony Kehinde Joseph, directed by Adeoluwa Owu and produced by Ope Ajayi and Wumi Toriola. The film stars Wumi Toriola in the titular role. The film had its theatrical release on 27 September 2024 and opened to positive reviews from critics. The film became the highest-grossing Nigerian film of 2024 with a box office collection of ₦350 million.
