The Mirror is the student-operated newspaper of the University of Northern Colorado. It is published every Monday during the fall and spring semesters, and breaks news online at www.uncmirror.com. Typically it is not published during school breaks (spring break, winter break, national holidays, etc.) and the paper is distributed to over 85 locations throughout the campus in academic buildings, residence halls and apartment buildings. Some local businesses also receive copies. The publication is funded by student fees as well as advertising for local businesses. The newspaper operates out of its own building on 16th Street, one-half block from campus, and employs an average of 80 students a year.

The University of Colorado Boulder is a public research university in Boulder, Colorado. Founded in 1876, five months before Colorado became a state, it is the flagship university of the University of Colorado system. The University of Northern Colorado (UNC) is a public university in Greeley, Colorado. The university was founded in 1889 as the State Normal School of Colorado and has a long history in teacher education. The institution has officially changed its name three times, first to Colorado State College of Education, at Greeley on February 16, 1935, Colorado State College on February 11, 1957, and its current form since May 1, 1970. Approximately 10,000 students are enrolled in six colleges. Extended campus locations are in Loveland, Denver/Aurora, and Colorado Springs. UNC's 19 athletic teams compete in NCAA Division I as members of the Big Sky Conference.
The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is a public research university in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It is one of four campuses that make up the University of Colorado system. As of Fall 2017, UCCS had over 12,400 undergraduate and 1,822 graduate students, with 32% ethnic minority students. It is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity".
The Crimson White, known colloquially as "The CW," is a student-run publication of the University of Alabama published twice a week under The Crimson White Media Group. Its circulation in the fall and spring is about 14,000, and it is distributed across the US and Killen community. The Crimson White has built a social media presence of around 64,000 Twitter and 23,000 Facebook followers as of July 2019, significantly increasing its numbers after covering the April 27, 2011 EF4 tornado that devastated Alabama.
The Daily Trojan, or "DT," is the student newspaper of the University of Southern California. The newspaper is a forum for student expression and is written, edited, and managed by university students. The paper is intended to inform USC students, faculty, and staff on the latest news and provide opinion and entertainment. Student writers, editors, photographers and artists can develop their talents and air their opinions while providing a service to the campus community through the Daily Trojan. Readers can interact with the Daily Trojan by commenting on articles online or writing a letter to the editor.
KFKA on 1310 AM is a radio station licensed to Greeley, Colorado that serves the Fort Collins-Greeley area. It is the flagship station for the University of Northern Colorado Bears football and basketball radio network. It also carries a full slate of high school football and basketball games.
The Colorado Daily is a newspaper published in Boulder, Colorado, by Prairie Mountain Publishing Co. LLC, a unit of MediaNews Group. The Daily is operated out of the offices of Boulder's Daily Camera newspaper. Originally the student newspaper of the University of Colorado, the Daily became independent in 1970 and has undergone several ownership changes since 2001, coming under the control of the Camera, its former competitor, when it was purchased by the E.W. Scripps Co. in 2005. The newspaper and its website, coloradodaily.com, continue to focus much of their coverage on the university.
The Johns Hopkins News-Letter is the independent student newspaper of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S. Published since 1896, it is one of the nation's oldest continuously published, weekly, student-run college newspapers.

The UWM Post is a student newspaper independently run by the students of the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Published weekly in print from 1915 to 2012, it became independently operated in 1956. The newspaper published a new issue every Monday during the fall and spring semesters and was distributed both on campus and in the Greater Milwaukee metropolitan area.
Richard A. Perchlik was an American politician and academic. A Democrat, he served as the mayor of Greeley, Colorado from 1969 to 1971.
The Central Florida Future was the independent weekly student newspaper of the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. The Future was one of the largest student-run newspapers in the United States, with a circulation of 14,000 and readership of over 30,000. It was a member of the USA Today network.
The FSView & Florida Flambeau is a for-profit newspaper owned by the Gannett Company that covers the on-campus events, happenings, and trends of the Florida State University as well as concerts, museum and art exhibits, movies, literature and poetry readings, and other events from the larger Tallahassee community. In early August 2006, the FSView made national news as being the first privately owned, college-oriented newspaper to be bought by a major newspaper chain.
John Solomon "Sap" Davis was an American football and basketball coach and college athletics administrator. He was the 12th head football coach at Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas, serving for the 1930 season and compiling a record of 1–6. Davis was also the athletic director and head basketball coach at Ottawa from 1927 to 1931. He moved to the State Normal School of Colorado—now known as the University of Northern Colorado—in 1931 to replace George E. Cooper as head basketball coach. In 1937, Davis was hired as the head basketball coach at Colorado State College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts—now known as Colorado State University.
Aims Community College is a public community college serving northern Colorado with locations in Greeley, Windsor, Fort Lupton, and Loveland. Aims has more than 200 degree and certificate programs and provides day and night classes. Aims was founded in Greeley in 1967 and graduated its first class in 1969. The school established a second campus in Fort Lupton in 1984, and a third in Loveland in 1987. The Aims Automotive and Technology Center, located in Windsor, opened in January 2010.
The Arkansas Traveler is the student newspaper of the University of Arkansas. It is printed four times a week and has an online edition that is updated daily.
Northern Colorado Bears baseball is the varsity intercollegiate team representing University of Northern Colorado in the sport of college baseball in NCAA Division I. The team is led by Mike Anderson, and plays its home games at Jackson Field on campus in Greeley, Colorado. The Bears are baseball members of the Summit League, having joined in July 2021 after spending the previous eight years as baseball members of the Western Athletic Conference.
The 1934 Colorado Teachers Bears football team was an American football team that represented Colorado State Teachers College—now known as the University of Northern Colorado—as a member of the Rocky Mountain Conference (RMC) during the 1934 college football season. Led by third-year head coach John W. Hancock, the Bears compiled an overall record of 6–1 with an identical mark in conference play, sharing the RMC title with Colorado and Colorado Agricultural. The team outscored its opponents by a total of 148 to 31.
