The New Royales are a four-person music group consisting of members DJ Khalil, Chin Injeti, Liz Rodrigues, and Erik Alcock. Since forming in 2007, they have worked together as producers and songwriters for artists such as Eminem, Pitbull, Pink, Bishop Lamont, Jay Electronica and more. [1] [2] The group is known for incorporating musical styles from multiple genres, drawing influence from hip hop and soul, Brazilian and Portuguese music, to rock and pop music.

Contents

Widely known as a production group for other artists, they released their first official mixtape Freedom's for the Brave on January 14, 2014. [3] Freedom's for the Brave pays homage to a number of the group's influences, featuring covers of bands and groups such as The Kinks, The Monks, The Beatles, The White Stripes, Depeche Mode and more. They followed this with the release of Ready to Break in 2015. [4] [5]

Bad Meets Evil is an American hip hop super duo composed of Detroit-based rappers Royce da 5′9″ (Bad) and Eminem (Evil). Formed in 1998, the duo's name comes from the namesake song from Eminem's The Slim Shady LP (1999), which featured Royce da 5'9". They debuted the same year with the release of the double single, "Nuttin' to Do" and "Scary Movies", the latter of which for the soundtrack to the 2000 horror comedy parody film Scary Movie. A decade later, the duo reunited to release an extended play (EP) to critical and commercial success.

Pranam "Chin" Injeti is a Canadian singer, musician, and music producer. He got his start as a founding member of Juno Award-winning group Bass is Base. He frequently collaborates with producer DJ Khalil; together they have written and produced songs for Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Drake, Clipse, Eminem and P!nk. Injeti's work with Eminem and Lecrae has garnered 3 Grammy Awards, as well as Grammy nominations for Aloe Blacc's Lift Your Spirit and P!nk's The Truth About Love.

Khalil Abdul-Rahman Hazzard, professionally known as DJ Khalil, is an American music producer and DJ from Los Angeles. He is the instrumental half of the hip hop duo Self Scientific and a member of the group The New Royales, which also includes Liz Rodrigues, Erik Alcock and Pranam Chin Injeti. He produced the albums Recovery and The Marshall Mathers LP 2 by the rapper Eminem, as well as the multi-platinum single "The Man" by Aloe Blacc. He is the third born son of former UCLA player and coach and NBA player Walt Hazzard.

Slaughterhouse was an American hip hop supergroup consisting of rappers Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I and Royce da 5'9". They released their eponymous debut studio album independently in 2009, and signed to Shady Records, an imprint of Interscope Records to release it's follow up, Welcome to: Our House in 2012. The group disbanded in 2018.

The compilation consists of two discs, the first featuring new material from Shady Records artists such as Slaughterhouse, Bad Meets Evil, D12 and Yelawolf, as well as the label's founder Eminem. He often provides guest vocals for songs produced by DJ Khalil.
