Sixpence None the Richer is an American alternative rock band that formed in New Braunfels, Texas, and eventually settled in Nashville, Tennessee. They are best known for their songs "Kiss Me" and "Breathe Your Name" and their covers of "Don't Dream It's Over" and "There She Goes".
Elbow are an English rock band formed in Bury, Greater Manchester, in 1990. The band consists of Guy Garvey, Craig Potter, Mark Potter and Pete Turner. They have played together since 1990, adopting the name Elbow in 1997. Drummer Alex Reeves replaced Richard Jupp in 2016 as a touring and session musician at first, before becoming a full member in 2024.
Super Black Market Clash is a 1993 compilation album released by the English punk rock band The Clash. It contains B-sides and rare tracks not available on the group's regular studio albums. The album is an expanded repackaging of the 1980 release Black Market Clash, a 10-inch EP containing nine songs. The man in the foreground of the front cover art on both releases is Don Letts, who worked with The Clash on several projects and later was a founding member of Big Audio Dynamite.
The God Machine was an alternative rock band, active in the first half of the 1990s. Its members were all from San Diego, California, but they all lived and performed mainly in the United Kingdom and across Europe.
Asleep in the Back is the debut studio album by English rock band Elbow, first released in the United Kingdom on 7 May 2001, and in the United States on 22 January 2002. The title track, "Asleep in the Back", was only included as a bonus track on later editions of the album after it had been released as a single and became the band's first Top 20 hit. The album release came in four different versions: the 12-track version, two 11-track versions only featuring either "Asleep in the Back" or "Can't Stop" and a 10-track version including neither of them. The record was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize in 2001.
Trembling Blue Stars was the London-based band music project of Robert Wratten, started in 1996. Later consisting of Harvey Williams, Jonathan Akerman, Keris Howard, Michael Hiscock, and Beth Arzy who replaced Annemari Davies in 2000. Initially begun as a side project of Wratten's previous band Northern Picture Library, Trembling Blue Stars became Wratten's main band when Northern Picture Library broke up in 1995. Wratten took the name of his band from The Story of O by Pauline Réage. Trembling Blue Stars are characterized by melancholic songs with shimmering guitars and introspective lyrics.
Laurence Andrew Tolhurst is an English musician, songwriter, producer, and author. He was a founding member of the Cure, for which he first played drums before switching to keyboards. He left the Cure in 1989 and later formed the bands Presence and Levinhurst. He has also published two books and developed the Curious Creatures podcast. His most recent studio release is the album Los Angeles (2023), in collaboration with Budgie and Jacknife Lee.
The First Chapter is a compilation album by gothic rock band The Mission. It gathered the material released on the first two EPs released through the Chapter 22 label. Titled I and II the album was released on Mercury Records in June 1987. It includes all the songs from the first EP in its entirety, but omits the original versions of "The Crystal Ocean" and "Garden of Delight" from the second. The US release was augmented with the B-sides of the V (Severina) EP. The tracks that were originally left off this compilation were included on the expanded and remastered edition. This restored both the short intermissions and 'swan song' from the II EP.
Nil Recurring is an EP by British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, released on 17 September 2007 through the band's online store. The standard version of the mini-album is composed of four tracks written during the Fear of a Blank Planet recording sessions and was completed over the summer of 2007. The EP's title, which stems from the opening instrumental track on the EP, was actually derived from an unreleased demo written during the Fear of a Blank Planet recording sessions, called "Always Recurring". Although the band never formally released the song, lyrical and melodic elements of the track were reused in the closing piece of the EP, "What Happens Now?".
The Cook The Thief His Wife & Her Lover is the twelfth album release by Michael Nyman and the ninth to feature the Michael Nyman Band. It is the soundtrack to the eponymous film by Peter Greenaway. The album includes the first commercially released recording of Memorial, and this is the only piece discussed in the liner notes, to the point that the lyric sheet for "Miserere", the song which Pup the kitchen boy sings, is misidentified "Memorial." "Book Depository" is one of Nyman's many waltzes.
The Any Day Now EP is Elbow's third release. This EP was released through Elbow's first record label Ugly Man Records, as well as their second record label V2 Records. Both EPs each have a different track listing.
"Asleep in the Back / Coming Second" is Elbow's fourth and last double A-side single off the album Asleep in the Back, released through their second record label V2 Records in five formats: two CD singles, one DVD, one 12" vinyl promo, and one 12" remix vinyl for "Coming Second". The US promo disc contained "George Lassoes the Moon" from The Noisebox EP and "None One" from The Newborn EP. The song entered the UK Singles Chart at #19
None the Less was an English band from Watford, Hertfordshire who originally formed in 2007.
"Newborn" is a single by English rock band Elbow and is the third single from their debut album, Asleep in the Back. There were four formats : one CD promo, one 12" vinyl remix promo, 2CD, and 12" vinyl. Several of the songs on the single had been previously on The Newborn EP.
"Pandora's Kiss" / "Don't Give Up" is a double A-side single by English singer Louise. It was released on 15 September 2003 by Positive Records as the intended lead single from her then fourth studio album, however the album was later shelved, resulting in "Pandora's Kiss/Don't Give Up" being a standalone single. The single was also released to raise money for the Tickled Pink campaign for Breast Cancer Care. Listeners noted that the chorus of "Don't Give Up" strongly resembles Asda's commercial marketing jingle; Asda admitted that it had been written by the same composer. It was Louise's last single to be released until 2019's "Stretch".
Break Time is the fourth Korean extended play by South Korean band U-KISS, released on October 4, 2010. The lead single was "Shut Up!!". It is the last EP by U-KISS to feature members Alexander Lee and Kim Ki-bum.
The discography of the English rock band Elbow consists of ten studio albums and numerous EPs and singles. The band was first formed while its members were secondary school and opted for the name Elbow in 1997. The band recorded a 5-track demo EP titled Noisebox, named after the studio where it was recorded. Four songs were later re-recorded for the deluxe edition of the debut album while a live-version was chosen for the fifth. The band were signed to Island Records and recorded an album with Steve Osborne that was shelved after the Universal take-over. Released from their contract, the band released the Newborn and Any Day Now EPs through Ugly Man Records that featured some of the material recorded with Osborne. In early 2001 Elbow signed with V2 Records.

It was released on September 21, 2005, by Jive Records, to accompany the DVD release for Spears' UPN reality television series Britney and Kevin: Chaotic (2005). The EP featured three songs–"Chaotic", "Someday " and "Mona Lisa".
