The Ocean and the Sun is the third album by experimental rock band The Sound of Animals Fighting. The album features only the four core members that had appeared on both the first and second albums: the Nightingale, the Walrus, the Lynx and The Skunk.

Contents

The first song, "Intro", is the Persian translation of the English poem "In the Desert" by Stephen Crane. The original (English) version of this poem is printed on the inside jacket of the album. It is also read in English on the eleventh track. The title of the final track, "On the Occasion of Wet Snow", is the title of the second section of Fyodor Dostoevsky's Notes from Underground . The second song, "The Ocean and the Sun", features a reading from the CrimethInc. book Days of War, Nights of Love . The title of the seventh track, "The Heraldic Beak of the Manufacturer's Medallion", is taken from J. G. Ballard's Crash .

The album peaked at 141 on the Billboard 200 and number 2 on the Top Heatseekers chart. [4]

Celine Dion is the eleventh studio album by Canadian singer Celine Dion, and her second English-language album. It was originally released by Sony Music on 30 March 1992, and features the Grammy and Academy Award-winning song "Beauty and the Beast", and other hits like "If You Asked Me To" and "Love Can Move Mountains". The Sound of Animals Fighting is an American rock supergroup founded by Rich Balling of Rx Bandits. In the band's initial run, they released a trilogy of records between 2004 and 2008, and performed only four live shows, following their second release in 2006. The band's live lineup consisted of 12 different musicians. The band often employed the use of animal masks to conceal their identity. The group was inactive after 2009, with brief spurts of touring in 2014 and 2019, before announcing a new extended play and nationwide US tour in 2022.

"Snow on the Beach" is a midtempo dream pop ballad about two people falling in love with each other simultaneously. A "more Lana" version was included on The Til Dawn Edition of Midnights.
