The Old-timers is a South African Christian hardcore band that primarily plays hardcore punk and punk rock. The band started making music in 2011, and their members currently consist of vocalist, xDave Old-Timerx, with guitar noises by Don Old-timer and drum thumping by Phil Old-timer (Who also drums for False Idle). They signed to Thumper Punk Records for their first studio album, Soli Deo Gloria, which was released in 2012 by Thumper Punk Records alongside Veritas Vinyl. They are the first South African Christian punk band to be signed to an American record label. Since then, they have released two extended plays, Spiritus Sanctus, in 2013, and, Be Reconciled, in 2014, with Thumper Punk Records alongside Veritas Vinyl.
In 2011 Don send some music to Dave and they started putting tracks together for fun. The 'Punk's Not Dead, Nor Are We' demo came out of these sessions. This demo was sent to friends and through it the band were signed to Thumper Punk Records. They released 'SOLI DEO GLORIA in 2012 to much anticipation and have been actively releasing music via Thumper Punk ever since. [1] [ non-primary source needed ]
Dave & Don live in South Africa but have recruited drummers for each release from amongst their Thumper Punk Label mates in the USA.
The band commenced as a musical entity in 2011 and put out their debut release, Soli Deo Gloria, a studio album with Thumper Punk Records, on 14 June 2012. [2] First single off the album was "This City" a song that has now become a firm favourite amongst many OT fans, and which has helped solidify it as an anthem amongst many Christian and secular punks. [3] [4] [5] [6] They released, an extended play, Spiritus Sanctus, on 17 December 2013, with Thumper Punk Records. [7] Their subsequent extended play, Be Reconciled, was released by Thumper Punk Records, on 1 July 2014. [8] [9] [10] They released two extended play, Turn It Off, [11] and Turn It Up!, [12] on 1 August 2015, through Thumper Punk Records. [13]
When it comes to mixing and mastering their music, The Old-timers work almost exclusively with Sef Idle of Simpul Studio, Boise, Idaho. [14] He has been a mainstay within their musical career, working with them since SOLI DEO GLORIA in 2012. He is also set to appear as a guest vocalist in their upcoming EP.
Gloria in excelsis Deo, BWV 191, is a church cantata written by the German Baroque composer Johann Sebastian Bach, and the only one of his church cantatas set to a Latin text. The band has released four extended plays, Hymns of Punk Rock Praise, in 2010, I Refuse, in 2011, California or Bust, in 2013, and a split EP with the band, A Common Goal, Split Decision, in 2014, all with Thumper Punk Records. The band started making music in 2011, and their members are lead vocalist, Dillon Hendren, vocalist and lead guitarist, Lance Hendren, background vocalist, Sandra Calvillo, bassist, Matt Vangalapudi, and drummer, Vinny. Their first release, Send Down Your Love, an album, was released in 2010, independently. The subsequent release, Black & White, a studio album, was released by Thumper Punk Records, in 2012.
Platoon 1107 is an American patriotic punk rock music band that primarily plays Heavy metal music influenced hardcore punk and skate punk, and at times crossover. This project was started in California in 2012 by a United States Marine Corps veteran, Jimmy Sisco, who writes and plays all the instruments on their recordings. The project's first two releases, with Thumper Punk Records and Veritas Vinyl, We Glory in the Title, and an extended play, Live Free or Die, were released on the same day in 2012. The second extended play, Marine Forever...Forever Marine, was first self-released in December 2013. The project did a split-EP, with The Cants earlier the same year. In late 2016 the band issued four EP's in 5 weeks via Thumper Punk Records: The Tourettes EP, The Straight Edge EP, Marine Forever...Forever Marine, and the Alive I live album, which was recorded at Angel City in Bellflower, California in 2014.
No Lost Cause is an American Christian punk and Christian ska band, and they primarily play punk rock, pop punk, ska, skate punk, and ska-punk. The band is from Toms River, New Jersey and was started in 2010 by vocalist and guitarist, Rob Jensen. The current lineup consists of Rob Jensen and Nick Povilonis. The band's first release, with Thumper Punk Records, NLC, an extended play, released in 2013, followed by the "Fight EP" in 2015.

Grave Robber is an American horror punk band from Fort Wayne, Indiana. The band started rehearsing in 2005. In 2006, Grave Robber released, a vinyl EP, Love Hurts independently. Their first two studio albums, Be Afraid and Inner Sanctum, were released by Retroactive Records, correspondingly in 2008 and 2009. The subsequent three studio albums, Exhumed, You're All Gonna Die!, and Escaping The Grave were released by Rottweiler Records, correspondingly in 2010, 2011, and 2018. An EP, Straight To Hell was released in 2014. Rottweiler Records has acquired the rights to Be Afraid and Inner Sanctum, with plans to re-release in 2023.
Every Knee Shall Bow is a Christian metal band that is currently independent. The band consists of brothers guitarists Drew and Cole, bassist Shane, and drummer DJ Wibblesman, as well as returning vocalist Chris Hull. The band's debut EP was mixed by Rocky Gray of Living Sacrifice, Evanescence, and Machina. The band was recommended in an interview with Gray and Jon Dunn of Soul Embraced about the local Arkansas metal scene. Their debut album was released on March 12, 2013. It was produced by Josh Barber.
Rottweiler Records is a Christian metal record label based out of Dallas, Texas, United States. The label features bands such as Lust Control, Soul Embraced, The Jericho Harlot, and Pantokrator. The label started early on as a label that served punk rock, but has become a label that serves metal and punk. It is a Christian label, and therefore many of its artists are as well. The label was created by Shawn Browning, also known as Wretched of Grave Robber. Many bands on the label have placed high on CMW's charts and have had many positive reviews. The label participates in several compilations, including Kill the Ill a benefit comp for Rottweiler's owner Shawn Browning, and Metal Pulse: A Tribute to Dale Huffman.
Abated Mass of Flesh is an American brutal death metal band formed in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, in 2011. The band consists of vocalist Matthew Plunkett, lead guitarist Zack Plunkett, rhythm guitarist Thomas and drummer Riley Wingate. They have been compared to Devourment, Dying Fetus, Impending Doom and Crimson Thorn.
Forfeit Thee Untrue, also known as FTU, is a South African Christian metal band who formed in 2006. Remaining a 2-piece band until late 2011, at which point, lead vocalist/guitarist Gideon joined the band. Following their first studio-recorded track, 'Seven', they were offered a record deal by Sanctus Gladius Records, through which they released their debut EP, Blood Soaked Splinter (2013). After their recording contract lapsed with Sanctus Gladius Records they then signed with Rottweiler Records - their second international record label. Most recently, FTU released their debut full-length album, Cremationem Jesus Lacrimam (2016), through Rottweiler Records.
