Bonita Melody Lysette Langford is an English actress, dancer and singer. She came to prominence as a child star in the 1970s, when she had a notable role in the TV series Just William. In the 1980s, she played companion Mel Bush in Doctor Who. She has also been known for appearing in various musicals in the West End and on Broadway, including shows such as Peter Pan, Cats, The Pirates of Penzance and Chicago. From 2015 to 2018, she portrayed the role of Carmel Kazemi on the BBC soap opera EastEnders, for which she received the 2016 British Soap Award for Best Newcomer.

Gardiner returned to replace Louie Spence after departing at the end of series 6 in 2011 and Ashley Roberts joined The Ice Panel as Katarina Witt's replacement, while Barber rejoined The Ice Panel after serving as head coach in series 6 and 7. It was revealed that at the end of the show of 13 January that the duel would return, this saw two couples go head-to-head on the ice at the same time performing different routines to the same song, the judges then decided which one will be immune from the public vote.

It was announced on 22 October 2013 that this series would be the show's last, and would be an 'All-Stars' series featuring former winners and previous contestants. Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley returned to present, with Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean returning as mentors. Robin Cousins, Jason Gardiner, Karen Barber and Ashley Roberts returned for their ninth, eighth, seventh and second series on The Ice Panel. Cousins was unable to appear on the ice panel during weeks 6 and 7 due to him commentating the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia and was replaced by original judge Nicky Slater, while Barber acted as head judge.
The tenth series of Dancing on Ice began airing on ITV on 7 January 2018. It was the first series since it ended in 2014 and featured a new set and ice rink, a new judging line up, and a new logo. After the tenth series, the live tour of Dancing on Ice returned from March to April 2018, starring celebrities from the series.

Christopher Dean, Jayne Torvill and Ashley Banjo returned as judges for their fourth series, whilst John Barrowman returned as a judge for his second series respectively.

The series was once again filmed in the purpose-built studio at Bovingdon Airfield, which was set up for the tenth series. Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby returned as the hosts. Christopher Dean, Jayne Torvill and Ashley Banjo returned as judges for their fifth series, whilst it was announced on 3 October 2021, that John Barrowman would not be returning to the judging panel. In December, Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse was confirmed as Barrowman's replacement. Arlene Phillips also joined the panel as a guest judge for Musicals Week on 20 February.
