The Play [1] is a 2013 Bengali murder mystery thriller film written and directed by Ranjay Ray Choudhury. [2] The film features Rajesh Sharma, Indrasish Roy, Mumtaz Sorcar [3] in the lead roles. The film revolves around a theatre group where the entire theatre group gets devastated by a series of murders. The filming began in December 2012 and was wrapped up by January 2013. The film was released on 6 December 2013. [4]

Plot

A famous theatre group in Kolkata is ravaged when the members of the group get killed one by one in a span of a single night. Only three of the members survive Mainak (Indrasish Roy), Ishika (Mumtaz Sorcar) and Rishabh (Rajdeep Gupta). The task of finding out the truth befalls Mainak, but the answers he was looking for are not what he ends up finding. [5]

Rahasya Romancha is a Bengali web series. Initially conceived as a thriller movie, it was turned into a web series, streaming on the Bengali OTT platform Hoichoi. It is produced by Edgy Entertainment and directed by Abhirup Ghosh. Season 1 was released in August 2019, with Priyanka Sarkar, Rudranil Ghosh, Kanchan Mullick, Saayoni Ghosh and Biswanath Basu in the lead roles.

Murder in the Hills is a Bengali crime thriller web series streaming on the OTT platform hoichoi. The series was released on 23 July 2021. The series is directed by Anjan Dutt, who makes his directorial debut for a web series. This film is loosely based on the storyline of the famous detective novel of Agatha Christie, Murder on the Orient Express.

Mahabharat Murders is a Bengali thriller series streaming on Hoichoi from 13 May 2022, based on the book The Mahabharata Murders by Arnab Ray. The series is directed by Soumik Halder and stars Priyanka Sarkar, Arjun Chakrabarty, Saswata Chatterjee, Kaushik Sen, Rajdeep Gupta.
