The Simple Life is the fourth studio album by Norwegian musician Magnet, first released in Norway on 26 March 2007 where it debuted on the Norwegian Albums Chart at #1. The album was subsequently released in the United States on 18 September 2007, and the United Kingdom on 24 March 2008. The album includes a cover of "She's Gone", originally by Bob Marley.

Hailing from Red Bank, New Jersey, the group was founded in 1989 by Dave Wyndorf, John McBain (guitar) and Tim Cronin ; they have since gone through several lineup changes, leaving Wyndorf as the only constant member. Magnet (musician)

Magnet is the pseudonym of Norwegian singer-songwriter Even Johansen. To date, he has released five full-length studio albums as well as several singles and EPs. Johansen draws upon many influences, including folk, pop, and electronica. His albums are composed and produced solely by him, and he usually performs live sets on his own, using preset loops or creating them as he plays.

The Tourniquet is the third studio album by Norwegian musician Magnet, first released in Norway on 30 May 2005 where it debuted on the Norwegian Albums Chart at #2. The album was released in the United Kingdom on 22 August 2005, 31 August 2005 in Japan, and 14 February 2006 in the United States. The album is named after a drink called "the Tourniquet," which Even Johansen sampled "in a Singapore airport bar, en route back from Los Angeles" after recording there. The Tourniquet was Magnet's only album released by major label Atlantic Records.

On Your Side is the second studio album by Norwegian musician Magnet. The album was first released in Japan on 28 May 2003, on 23 June 2003 in Norway, 7 July 2003 in the United Kingdom, and 28 September 2004 in the United States. It contains a cover of Bob Dylan's "Lay Lady Lay" featuring Gemma Hayes, which was featured in the 2005 film Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
