The Slackers was a cassette-only 1993 album by The Slackers. Although self-released, Moon Records assisted in distribution of the release.

He has also performed with punk rock band Rancid, both live and in the studio. He has released four solo acoustic albums and continues to tour and record worldwide. Ruggiero is known primarily as a singer and organist, although he also plays piano, bass, banjo, cigar box guitar, guitar, harmonica and percussion.
Before There Were Slackers There Were... is a collection of recordings from 1992, 1994, and 1995 by The Slackers under the pseudonym, The Nods. Despite common misconception, the band was already known as The Slackers when this material was recorded and several of the tracks had previously appeared on their demo tapes. The pseudonym was used due to the album being self-released during the time that the Slackers were first signed to Hellcat Records.

Unchained Spirit is the sixth studio album by dancehall/reggae artist Buju Banton, released in 2000. It was his first and only album to be released on the ANTI- record label, an imprint of Epitaph Records which was more commonly known for underground and avant-garde Rock music, but was trying to branch out into the Reggae genre, especially on the strength of their release of music by the Ska band known as The Slackers. Aside from the fact that the album was on such an unexpected label, Unchained Spirit was simply issued with extremely little promotion. There is no known commercial hit or single from this album; nevertheless it is considered groundbreaking by many.
Glen William Pine is an American musician and songwriter from Boston, MA. He is most known for his role in The Slackers where he plays the trombone and sings. Pine joined the Slackers before the release of The Question on which he contributed with the song Mountainside. Glen was an original member of Boston-based reggae outfit The Pressure Cooker. Along with Vic Ruggiero, he has performed under the name the Redlights.
