The Slips are a UK electronic music duo, composed of David Treahearn and Rob Haggett. James Cooper is the duo's live drummer and regularly DJs in The Slips' Australasian club sets. The duo formed the band in Kentish Town in London, mid-2007 after they met while working together as studio engineers [1] [2] at Olympic Studios in London with artists including Madonna, Björk, The Black Eyed Peas, [3] Gwen Stefani, New Order,  Oasis and Massive Attack.

Along with producing original electronic dance music and mixtapes, The Slips are also DJs and remixers [4] having remixed international artists such as Björk [5] The Crystal Fighters, [6] CSS, [7] LCD Soundsystem [8] The XX, [9] I Blame Coco, [10] Phoenix, [11] Kylie Minogue [12] and Ellie Goulding as featured in NME Magazine. [13] They have also remixed artists Gotye, [14] Bertie Blackman [15] Yuksek [16] and Zowie. [17] Their remixes and live performances have seen them featured in UK press including AXM Magazine, [18] The Gay Times, [19] US digital music blog aggregator Hype Machine [20] and Music Week.

As well as regular London live performances, the band performed at Glastonbury Festival [21] in 2009 as part of Q magazine's 'Emerging Talent' program on the Queen's Head stage. [22] In 2010 the UK Music Industry publication The Unsigned Guide wrote the feature article "The Rise Of The Slips: A Roadmap To Learn From" [23]

UK & European live festival performances include the O2 Wireless festival in London's Hyde Park, [24] The Great Escape Festival [25] supporting Alex Metric, Pnau and Adam Freeland the Amsterdam dance event Music Industry conference, [26] the Remix Bubble at Secret Garden Party and in 2011 at The O2 Arena with Kasabian and Bombay Bicycle Club. [27]

The Slips original track "4 Elements to Make Good Music" was the official backing track for the Labrokes Euro 2012 advertising campaign. [28] Ministry Of Sound featured The Slips on the Australian Ministry Of Sound 2012 Annual Compilation [29] for their remix of the Flight Facilities track 'Foreign Language'. In late November 2012, The Slips remix of Björk's track [30] Moon from her album Biophilia was chosen as an official remix for her third remix album Bastards. In 2012, The Slips signed to EMI Records, later releasing the track "Make It Out Alright" featuring Bossy Love with a music video filmed in New York City.

Pnau is an Australian dance music trio originating from Sydney. The trio, a duo before 2016, consists of the musicians Nick Littlemore, Peter Mayes and Sam Littlemore (production), with the latter joining in 2016. Pnau has achieved multiple successes with their award-winning 1999 first album Sambanova and the widely acclaimed 2007 release Pnau. Pnau is also recognised for a heavily publicised apprenticeship under the musician Elton John, who signed the duo after listening to the Pnau album. Several of Pnau's later projects have had John's involvement, such as the album Soft Universe and an album of Pnau recreations of Elton John's hits called Good Morning to the Night.

Kasabian are an English rock band formed in Leicester in 1997 by lead vocalist Tom Meighan, guitarist and occasional vocalist Sergio Pizzorno, guitarist Chris Karloff, and bassist Chris Edwards. Drummer Ian Matthews joined in 2004. Karloff left the band in 2006 and founded a new band called Black Onassis. Jay Mehler joined as touring lead guitarist in 2006, leaving for Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye in 2013, to be replaced by Tim Carter, who later became a full-time band member in 2021. Meighan left the band in July 2020, with Pizzorno stepping up as full-time lead vocalist.

Ott is a British record producer and musician who has worked with Sinéad O'Connor, Embrace, the Orb, and Brian Eno, and has achieved recognition since 2002 for his own psychedelic dub tracks and his collaborations with Simon Posford. He has released two albums on Twisted Records: Blumenkraft (2003), Skylon (2008), and three albums on Ottsonic: Mir (2011), Fairchildren (2015) and Heads (2022).

Richard Norris was born 23 June 1965 and is a London-based record producer, songwriter, sound engineer, musician, DJ and author. He is best known as a member of electronic dance band The Grid. Richard has also worked as a producer and engineer since the 80s with artists such as: Bryan Ferry, Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, Marc Almond, Joe Strummer and the Pet Shop Boys.

Hadouken! Were a British band formed in London in 2006 by singer, writer and producer James Smith and synth player Alice Spooner along with guitarist Daniel "Pilau" Rice, bassist Christopher Purcell and drummer Nick Rice. The band name is taken from the special attack of the same name from the Street Fighter video game series. It was in Leeds that Hadouken! began their own record label, Surface Noise Records.

<i>Biophilia</i> (album) 2011 studio album by Björk

Biophilia is the seventh studio album by Icelandic singer Björk. It was released on 5 October 2011 by One Little Indian Records and distributed by Nonesuch Records in North America and by Universal Music Group in the rest of the world. Björk composed it as a concept album during the 2008–2011 Icelandic financial crisis, exploring the links between nature, music and technology. Billed as the first "app album", Biophilia is a multimedia project released alongside a series of apps linking the album's themes to musicology concepts. It was followed by a series of educational workshops in four continents.

David Treahearn is an English record producer, programmer, recording and mix engineer based in Richmond Upon Thames, England.

DNR is a London based music production and songwriting team consisting of David Treahearn and Rob Haggett.

"Mutual Core" is a song recorded by Icelandic singer Björk for her seventh studio album Biophilia (2011). It was written and produced by Björk herself, while programming and beats were made in collaboration with Matthew Herbert and the English dubstep band 16bit. "Mutual Core" is an uptempo experimental song. Its music includes Pipe organ, electronica-tinged sounds and features the Choir Graduale Nobili, the choir featured on Biophilia. The song's lyrics are a metaphor for human relationships, compared to the structure of the Earth and Plate tectonics. The song was well received by contemporary music critics, who praised its production and beats, moreover appreciating Björk's voice on the track.

Robert Haggett was a British record producer, songwriter and mix engineer. He has worked with some of the world's most successful artists including Madonna, Gwen Stefani, The Black Eyed Peas, Björk, James Morrison and Depeche Mode.

We Have Band, also known as "WHB", is a three-piece electronic music group from Manchester and London consisting of Darren Bancroft and the husband-and-wife duo Thomas Wegg-Prosser and Dede Wegg-Prosser. They have released three albums through the French-based Naïve Records. Their first album, WHB, was released on 5 April 2010 and a ten-track second album, Ternion, was released on 29 January 2012.
