The Storm Media is a Chinese-language online news media headquartered in Neihu District, Taipei, Taiwan.

Overview

Founder Zhang Guojun was the general manager of Goldman Sachs Taipei Branch and served as a consultant to Fubon Financial Holdings after retirement. Publisher Wang Jianzhuang is a professor at Shih Hsin University. The start-up capital of The Storm Media, NT$60 million, was all Zhang Guojun's personal investment. The editorial team comes from the China Times newspaper group and the Next Magazine. [2]

The Storm Media has cooperated with many media outlets in Taiwan and has signed contracts with overseas news media such as BBC Chinese, Asahi Shimbun Chinese, Deutsche Welle, Xinhua News Agency, and The Wall Street Journal to become long-term content partners. [3] [4]

Wang Yu-chi is a Taiwanese politician. He was the Minister of the Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) of the Executive Yuan since 28 September 2012 until 16 February 2015, when he resigned over the dropping of espionage charges brought against Chang Hsien-yao. Wang is the first ROC ministerial-level government official to visit mainland China after the end of the Chinese Civil War in 1949.

GamerBee is currently sponsored by ZOWIE. GamerBee finished second at EVO 2015 after losing to Yusuke Momochi. He placed 13th at Capcom Cup 2015. GamerBee was announced as one of the first two players for Red Bull Kumite 2016's Street Fighter V tournament. He finished second at the Street Fighter V event in the 2022 Asian Games, winning a silver medal. GamerBee won two gold medals at the Global Esports Games in the Street Fighter V events at Singapore 2021 and Istanbul 2022.

The Taiwan Statebuilding Party is a political party in the Republic of China (Taiwan). The party was established in 2016 as Taiwan Radical Wings. The party is considered a rather close ally of the Democratic Progressive Party, while fighting to replace opposition parties whom TSP unilaterally claims as "not loyal to Taiwan", such as Kuomintang and Taiwan People's Party. In the 2024 Taiwanese legislative election, TSP failed to gain any seat in the Legislative Yuan and lost its status as a national political party.

The September 2013 power struggle was a political crisis in Taiwan, entailing the power struggle between President Ma Ying-jeou and the speaker of the legislature Wang Jin-pyng, both of the governing Kuomintang party. It set a historical precedent in which both the president and the premier Jiang Yi-huah were interrogated simultaneously and separately. Allegations included undue influence on the part of legislators, leaks of confidential information by the prosecutor general, and surveillance of the legislature by the Special Investigation Division under his office.
