Luke Buckmaster of NME gave it gave it a mostly positive review but states "after such a measured build-up, the ending feels a little abrupt and unsatisfying." [5]

The Nightingale is a 2018 Australian historical psychological thriller film written and directed by Jennifer Kent. The film stars Aisling Franciosi, Sam Claflin, Baykali Ganambarr, Damon Herriman, Harry Greenwood, Ewen Leslie, Charlie Shotwell, and Michael Sheasby. Set in 1825 in Van Diemen's Land, it follows a young Irish convict woman (Franciosi) seeking vengeance against the sadistic English Colonial Force Lieutenant (Claflin) and soldiers who first raped her and then murdered both her husband and infant daughter. She is aided by an Aboriginal Tasmanian tracker (Ganambarr), who similarly seeks vengeance for the murderous Black War against his own people. In addition to being filmed in both English and in the Irish language, The Nightingale is the first motion picture to be filmed in palawa kani, a reconstructed form of the once extinct Tasmanian languages.
Mystery Road is an Australian television crime mystery series whose first series screened on ABC TV from 3 June 2018. The series is a spin-off from Ivan Sen's feature films Mystery Road and Goldstone, taking place in between the two. Aboriginal Australian detective Jay Swan, played by Aaron Pedersen, is the main character and actor in both the films and in the first two TV series, each of six episodes.

Bay of Fires is an Australian television crime drama and dark comedy series, which screened on ABC Television from 16 July 2023. The eight-part series was co-created by Andrew Knight, Marta Dusseldorp and Max Dann. Filming began in June 2022 with Natalie Bailey and Wayne Blair each directing four episodes. Locations used include the west Tasmanian towns of Queenstown, Strahan and Zeehan. Dusseldorp also co-produced with Yvonne Collins. The series title references the actual Bay of Fires on Tasmania's east coast.

Created by Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, the series is set in Deadloch, a fictional town in Tasmania, and stars Kate Box, Madeleine Sami, Alicia Gardiner, and Nina Oyama. Deadloch premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 2 June 2023.
Tegan Stimson is a South African born Australian actress. Tegan Stimson trained at the Cooper Screen Academy and her first screen role was play Jas, a young student investigating the death of her father in The Tailings. This was followed up with the Netflix drama comedy series Irreverent where she played Daisy, a girl who befriends the towns new Reverend. She then went on to play Ry, a victim of domestic abuse in Safe Home.
