Live peaked at number 20 on the Billboard 200 chart and has sold more than one million copies, being certified 2x platinum by the RIAA.
Beat the Boots is a collection of bootleg recordings of performances by Frank Zappa which were originally distributed illegally but were released officially by Rhino Entertainment in 1991 as part of Zappa's campaign to dissuade his fans from buying illegal recordings of his concerts. The recordings were available as individual CDs and as an LP or cassette box set. The eight discs span a fifteen-year period from September 30, 1967 to May 21, 1982.

Newly sober John was unhappy with the US cover art, so the 1991 UK release was issued with new cover art and also replaced "You Gotta Love Someone" and "I Swear I Heard the Night Talkin'" with then-unreleased "Suit of Wolves" and "Understanding Women", the former a B-side to "The One" and the latter later included as a track on the 1992 album The One. In the US, it was certified gold in June 1992 and platinum in November 2006. In April 2016 it was certified 2 x platinum by the RIAA.

DJs DJ Sharkey and Hixxy were signed by React and the pair released "Bonkers", the first in a series of albums which has become the best-selling hardcore compilation series of all time. It compiles key hits and album tracks from 1983–1992 during Jones's tenure on the Warner music label, plus one new track, a cover of Donald Fagen's "I.G.Y. ". It does not include his last UK Top 40 hit 'All I Want' from 1986. The album was a success, particularly in the UK where it was certified silver.
Live Acoustic America is an acoustic live recording of classic Howard Jones songs, released in 1996. It was recorded in Los Angeles to a sell-out crowd and features Carol Steele on percussion. The acoustic tour travelled the world, with Jones playing venues in Europe, the USA and Jamaica. The tour accompanied the release of the piano-based album In the Running and featured pared-back versions of his hits, album tracks, and The Beatles cover "Come Together".
Perform.00 is a collection of Howard Jones favorites re-recorded by Jones and the backup band that accompanied him on tour to support his 1998 album People, and on the VH-1 Big Rewind tour of the late 90s. The bassist for the tours and on this album was Nick Beggs, known better as the bassist for Kajagoogoo. Drummer Kevin Wilkinson and guitarist Robin Boult also contributed to both projects.

While a number of live and overdubbed songs are excluded, the ten disc collection contains 225 tracks, including studio sessions, live performances and demos. Among those 225 songs are 33 hit singles and 53 previously unreleased tracks.

Released by Rhino Records in 2002, the box set was based on the success of Have a Nice Decade: The 70s Pop Culture Box, Rhino's box set covering the 1970s. Original release sets had a 3D rubber cover. Later releases had a flat, printed cover.

The set also contains a digital (PDF) booklet and three music videos: "Overjoyed", "Part-Time Lover" and "So What the Fuss".

In the liner notes he wrote that his "undying gratitude is really to the lyricists and composers of all these memorable songs. Without the words and music I have sung over the years, my career as a singer would not have existed. My thanks is always to these special and gifted people."
