HMS Scimitar was a Scimitar-class fast patrol boat of the British Royal Navy. She is a Lifespan Patrol Vessel type boat and formerly served in inland waterway duties in Northern Ireland as MV Grey Fox. She was acquired to serve with the Gibraltar Squadron, tasked with policing, customs and search and rescue duties. This released an Archer-class patrol vessel for tasking with the Cyprus Squadron.

The Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant was a parade on 3 June 2012 of 670 boats on the Tideway of the River Thames in London as part of the celebrations of the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II. The Queen, Prince Philip and other members of the Royal Family were aboard vessels that took part in the parade. The parade was organised by the Thames Diamond Jubilee Foundation, and funded by private donations and sponsorship. The pageant master was Adrian Evans.

The MV Forth Hope is a medical ferry operated by the Vine Trust as part of the charity's Amazon Hope project. The ship operates on the Amazon River from a base in Iquitos in Peru. The Forth Hope is 35 metres (115 ft) in length and has a beam of 10 metres (33 ft). In her medical missionary role, she is equipped with consultation rooms, an operating theatre, laboratory, pharmacy, and dental surgery. The vessel flys a Cayman Islands flag. It has a draught of 1.9 metres, is 35 metres long and 10 metres in breadth, and has a maximum speed of 7.1 knots.
