The Wutars were an English five piece rock band from High Wycombe, England. Their final line up consisted of Alex Gold, Maz Manzini, Alex Kew, Alex Valentine and Sam Hayward before the band split in 2011.

Their first record EP1 was released in July 2009 on the band's own label Very Decent Music. The second was the acoustic-driven EP2. The band supported such acts as The Divine Comedy (band), The King Blues, Master Shortie, Hayseed Dixie, Towers Of London, Glen Matlock, Spizzenergi and Pugwash.

History

The Wutars formed in 2005 whilst studying at Buckinghamshire New University. The original line-up was Alex Gold (vocals, guitar), Sam Hayward (drums), Maz Manzini (vocals, bass) and Matt Taylor (vocals, guitar). Taylor left the band in January 2006 and was replaced by Alex Valentine (bass, vocals) with Manzini switching to guitar. In September 2009, Alex Kew (vocals, guitar) made his debut with the band at London's 100 Club.

In July 2011, at the time of the release of EP2, they announced their break-up.

Bullet for My Valentine Welsh metal band

Bullet for My Valentine, often abbreviated as BFMV, are a Welsh heavy metal band from Bridgend, Wales, formed in 1998. The band is currently composed of Matthew Tuck, Michael Paget, Jason Bowld (drums) and Jamie Mathias. Former members include Michael Thomas, Jason James and Nick Crandle; the latter were on bass. They were formed under the name Jeff Killed John and started their music career by covering songs by Metallica and Nirvana. Jeff Killed John recorded six songs which were not released; two of these tracks were reworked later in their career as Bullet for My Valentine. A change of style from that of Jeff Killed John led the band to change their name. In 2002, the band secured a five-album deal with Sony BMG. The band has stated that their music is influenced by classic metal acts such as Metallica, Iron Maiden and Slayer. The band is part of the Cardiff music scene.

Open Hand is an American rock band. The band was formed in Hollywood in 1997 by guitarist/vocalist Justin Isham. With bassist Michael Anastasi and drummer Alex Rodriguez they released two EPs on Justins own American Propaganda label, Radio Days (1998) and Evolutions (1999). After touring they signed with Trustkill Records in 1999. In 2000, Trustkill issued The Dream, a collection of the band’s two EPs and bonus unreleased material. They continued touring. They released the album "You and Me" in 2005 on Trustkill / Roadrunner Records, the band went on to tour extensively all over the world between 2005- 2009. Open Hand released "Honey" in 2010. The band has continued touring ever since. Open Hand is currently writing new material and working on a new record titled 'Weirdo' On April 20, 2020, the band will release a remixed, remastered, and re-sequenced version of Honey for its 10th anniversary.

Barry Graham Purkis, more commonly known as Thunderstick, is an English drummer who wore various masks and used to perform on-stage closed in a cage. He was in the cult-band Samson, with whom his name is most associated.

The Rumble Strips

The Rumble Strips are an English band from Tavistock, Devon. The band took their name from rumble strips, which are a series of small, continuous lines of bumps alongside a road designed to help prevent inattentive drivers straying off the road. Having known each other since childhood, a precise conception date for the band doesn't really exist. The 4-piece line-up of Charlie Waller, Henry Clark, Tom Gorbutt & Matt Wheeler was present from the first recordings until late 2006 when Sam Mansbridge joined to fill out the sound developed during the recording of 'Girls & Weather'. The band were signed to Fallout Records, a subsidiary of Universal Island Records.

Jackson United band

Jackson United is an American punk rock band formed by singer and lead guitarist Chris Shiflett in 2003. Shiflett recruited his older brother Scott Shiflett (bass) and Pete Parada (drums) to complete the band. A debut eponymous EP was recorded and released in 2003. Shortly after this release Parada left the band. He was replaced by Cary Lascala, and the group was then further expanded with the addition of a rhythm guitarist, Doug Sangalang.

LaFaro

LaFaro were a four-piece alternative rock band from Belfast, Northern Ireland. They consisted of Jonny Black (guitar/vocals), Dave Magee (guitar), Herb Magee (Bass) and Alan Lynn (drums).

Bubblegum Screw was a London glam punk band heavily influenced by New York City 1977 punk and other American bands such as New York Dolls, The Dead Boys and The Stooges. Along with bands such as Backyard Babies and Buckcherry, they were called the new blood of glam punk. They were also mentioned in the introduction to Brett Callwood's biography of The Stooges.

Chain are an Australian blues band formed as The Chain in late 1968 with a line-up including guitarist and vocalist, Phil Manning and lead vocalist, Wendy Saddington. Saddington left in May 1969 and in September 1970 Matt Taylor joined on lead vocals and harmonica. During the 1990s they were referred to as Matt Taylor's Chain. Their single, "Black and Blue", is their only top twenty hit. It was written and recorded by the line-up of Manning, Taylor, Barry Harvey on drums and Barry Sullivan on bass guitar. The related album, Toward the Blues, followed in September and peaked in the top ten. Manfred Mann's Earth Band covered "Black and Blue" on their 1973 album Messin'.

Not Without a Heart Once Nourished by Sticks and Stones Within Blood Ill-Tempered Misanthropy Pure Gold Can Stay is a split EP by pop punk band New Found Glory and hardcore punk band Shai Hulud. This limited edition EP was only available at shows on the "Not Without a Fight" tour with New Found Glory, Bayside, Set Your Goals, and Shai Hulud. This tour spanned from March 25, 2009 to May 10, 2009. However, the EP was not available until the March 26 show in San Diego. Shai Hulud's song featured on this release originally appeared on the band's album, Misanthropy Pure. New Found Glory contributed their song, "Truck Stop Blues" to the release, featured on their last album, Not Without a Fight, produced by Mark Hoppus from Blink-182.

Occupy This Album: 99 Songs for the 99 Percent is a four-disc compilation box set released in May 2012 through the record label Music for Occupy. The album concept, and initial production was initiated by Executive Producer Jason Samel. Jason Samel later recruited Producers Maegan Hayward, Alex Emanuel and Shirley Menard to assist with the project. The set consists of 99 songs inspired by or related to the Occupy movement. Proceeds from the album went "directly towards the needs of sustaining this growing movement."
