The Yellow Tie is an upcoming biographical drama film directed by Serge Ioan Celibidachi and starring John Malkovich as conductor Sergiu Celibidache, the father of the director. [2] [3] [4]

Production

In September 2022, it was announced that Rupert Friend would be cast as the younger version of Celibidache. [5] In June 2023, it was announced that Friend was replaced by Schnetzer. [6] Also in June, it was announced that Bean, Richardson, Phillips, Lesser and Rowe were also cast in the film. [1]

Filming occurred in Romania, particularly in Sala Palatului, in June 2023. [7] [8]
